  Good Sleep, Location and Tasty Breakfast

  Even though the hotel was three years old, it looked new and well maintained except there was a crack in the toilet. I got a good night sleep and wonderful location. The breakfast was fresh and well maintained with a cheerful host. I gave it a 4 out of 5 rating because of the cracked toilet. I'm surprised the housekeeping staff didn't report this to maintenance. It was a safety issue.

  Clean Hotel, Friendly Staff

  The hotel was very clean. The staff was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Carla was exceptionally helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, few amenities are available, but thats not uncommon at this time.

  First hotel post Covid

  Nice property, located at the far end of the plaza, good driving, not so much walking. Lots of retail and restaurants around; easy interstate to Wheeling (when the construction isn't the current apocalypse ) and St. Clairville and Washington, Pittsburgh. Usual rooms and trappings. Great TV and On Demand, Ice machine. Social distancing and some inconsistent mask use. refrig in room, coffee pot gone, left us at the mercy of one very helpful night manager and one disinterested one; Mc Donalds and Starbucks close enough. We asked them not to make up the room to keep anyone out. Swapped out linen at the desk (only 3 days) and toiletries as needed, they were amiable. Hot breakfast is a bit lean, but considering...Fixed styrofoam containers to take outside and eat away from people. Juice was just missing. Very good stay considering all that is going on.

  Excellent Evening

  We had a one night stay at the Fairfield Inn in Wheeling, WV and were delighted with the cleanliness ofc the hotel, the personality of the employees, and the excellent accomodations that our room had! Simply the Best!

  Excellent weekend

  We took our family for Covid-19 escape and could not have made a better choice. This Fairfield is the best! Not only is it close to everything (you could walk to restaurants, stores, etc) but is at the end of Cabela Drive where it is so peaceful. You basically can walk to any of the stores or restaurants. The pool is the perfect size for the kids and adults. The hotel is very clean and the staff is unbelievable. I cannot say enough about them. My first encounter was with Savannah who is such an asset to Fairfield, so professional and with a personality that you couldn't help but smile. She loves her job and it shows. Rochelle and Jennifer could not have been nicer or more helpful. I liked interacting with all of them and it was obvious that they all liked each other and worked together well. April and Allison, in housekeeping would do anything for us (we had 2 rooms, one of which had 3 kids under 5). Sharon, who did the breakfast, only added to our good experience. She set out a wonderful breakfast both days and because of Covid-19 had to serve it also. hot foods delicious as well as boxed cereals, yogurt, danishes, juices, etc. What an amazing staff!! Oglebay, good zoo, and train ride not real far to drive and lots to do close by. What a nice vacation we had!!! Thank you all so much. Betty and Gordon B
