  Great Place to Stay

  This place is fairly new. The place was very clean and update with the décor. The room was very nice and spacious. Had all the commodities in the room that you would need. Good selection of channels on the TV. The free breakfast was great with a large selection of item. ie: waffles, scramble eggs, bacon, sausage, juices, milk, etc. Nice pool with 2 cabanas. Lobby was very nice and they also had a bar that opens at 4pm with a great bartender. All the front desk personnel gave excellent service and helpful with all our questions. ie: places to eat and sightseeing. Check in was very fast and easy. Would recommend this place to stay at.

  Rude, Unfriendly, Unaccommodating, Unprofessional Staff

  What a shame....the hotel is a nice looking place however the staff was so rude and not helpful. After how my family and I were treated, if I could give negative stars, I would. What was supposed to be a little getaway for my young daughters birthday, turned out to be the worst hotel experience my family and I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favor when considering this hotel, keep driving past it and go to Port Aransas instead. These rude, unprofessional, mean people do not know what the word hospitable means.

  Not the best if you are fishing early

  The property is new, and that includes the bedding. Sleep quality was very good and no musty smells - very fresh - but they have issues with the staff. I seldom complain - but this place has some issues. The front desk person would frequently disappear - which is a problem when you need to change rooms. Cleaning staff issues - first room we didn't like, it didn't look cleaned and there were sandals left from prior occupant on the desk. The second room the coffee machine wasn't cleaned, and old bedding was shoved into the closed (filling the closet). I would love to review the breakfast but we had to leave before it opened at 5:30am. We just kept the room (really I'm not aristocratic about this stuff) - the sheets seemed clean - gee whiz I hope they were, but when there's weird stuff in the room you have to wonder. Of note, in other places they offer a "grab-n-go" bag breakfast for early-rising travelers. Not offered here and the front desk staff just shrugged at the suggestion. If you plan on fishing early, plan on bringing your own breakfast. Finally - I offer this for fairness, the front desk person heard our concern about our "first room" next to the bar area (with dirty shoes) and moved us to the third floor at the end of the hall - and it was quieter there, and that was a thoughtful, appreciated effort. Too bad it wasn't cleaned well. We did sleep without any noise - very quiet.

  Average Stay

  Not much to say negatively about this Marriott property. I arrived and was promptly checked in. My room was clean and I didn't have a cause for concern. I didn't eat the breakfast as I had other arrangements. The price is a bit much for the room type, in my opinion, compared to if you're going to do an AirBnB. However, during the pandemic, I am a bit more cautious with AirBnB establishments. Typical Marriott property. I recommend. Staff was courtesy and accommodating to my request. They has signs up in order to maintain the "social distancing" requirements. Happy with my stay.

  Hellooooo.....anybody here?!??

  Id love to give a full review however, we were never checked in. The front desk was empty. There was no note or sign to explain. Another gentleman was there before us and had waited quite a while before we came in. He even tried calling as we stood waiting for someone. Its a shame bc the hotel lobby was so pretty and inviting.
