    Madison !!!

    It was late in the evening and I had just arrived in VA from a long drive out of state. I booked a room through a third party (Pricesomething.com) and they did not submit my reservation into the system. Madison reached out to them by phone and made every attempt to get my reservation into the system, she showed a true passion for customer service, which I find is becoming scarce these days. She assured me that she would take care of everything and get me in a room regardless. She managed do this while checking in several other guests that were walking in also. I just wanted to let the Marriott Corporation along with others that they have a true asset in Madison, please give this wonderful young lady the recognition she truly deserves, she is an asset to the Fairfield Inn Ashland location. Others who read this post will understand when they arrive at this location and have the opportunity to be greeted by her. Thank you again Madison.

    Vacation

    Staying at this Hotel check in September 2 to September 5. Walk in to Hotel at 14:00 With my Family with kids. We are mixed family Asian black and brown. There is a dog front reception brought to work barking like crazy in business as we walk in and this lady come out and asked us like we are sneaking in are we staying here. Which is we check in last night. Barking dog in the hotel is totally unprofessional. Not enough towels. No blow dryer. And we pay for suit. Never coming back here again.

    Very Nice Hotel

    We stayed at this hotel because it was 1/2 way to the Outer Banks from our home. Ive been to several Marriotts during Covid. This one really has their act together. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. Our body wash was empty but front desk gave us a new bottle. This is the first one out of 5 Marriotts Ive been to that has offered breakfast. Coffee is behind the front desk. Across the parking lot was a Bojangles. Also a small mini mall next door. The other side was a neighborhood of townhouses. There is also a Bass Pro Shop at this exit.I will definitely stay again and would recommend it to other travelers.

    Never has anyone asked me

    My husband checked us in the night before while I was unpacking the car. Seemed smooth. The room was not very clean as per this covid standard now. We were tired and slept. The next morning I am walking by the breakfast area going to my room and, the front desk guy asks me if Im staying here? I didnt know how to feel. The hotel was packed and had so many people coming and going. I Ive never been asked before by any hotel any place if Im staying there! Why would I be walking to my room if I wasnt staying there? Its not like I even took breakfast or anything. The breakfast area was very packed. It was very rude and I would never stay at Fairfield again. There goes my Elite service. I simply answered, yes I am! How rude to questions your guests who are staying there and paying money during these uncertain times!

    Super clean, certified markings on doors showing cleaning, gracious staff and super nice GM Troy! Great location, couple minutes off of I-95 but very quiet. Beds comfortable, good towels, very comfortable A definite stay for your travels!! Dave B
