  Married Couples Beware!!!!!

  After staying at this hotel for at least 20 times, Jason informed me tonight that I could not check in with out my husband. Jason was looking to be rude , rather than accommodating. He pointed out my last name was different than my husbands, which is not unusual in 2019. He also pointed out that my billing address was a PO Box rather that the street address on my license. I explained that the PO Box was a billowing address but that was not good enough for Jason. I showed Jason that the Marriott credit card number was the same, but still he persisted with his rudeness. He actually insisted on calling my husband before he would let me check in. HMMM, I checked into another, better hotel, 2 days ago without the Jason drama. My advice, stay somewhere else, where they believe in the Marriott motto, of kindness, not rudeness.

  Hyatt Place across the parking lot

  Have stayed here a few times and it has gradually slid. The service issues that are cited in a few reviews are right on, esp. regarding room assignments, as every time it is a struggle to get a decent room. It's really a fine property, well located, clean and updated. The breakfast is especially nicely done. But the service is abysmal; unfriendly, unaccommodating and, by now, self-defeating.

  The hotel is in a great location... off of US-127 and Lake Lansing Road... the hotel is located in the Eastwood Shopping Center... there many great restaurants and shops in the shopping center... Mitchell's is a fine seafood restaurant in the middle of the state... there is a Bigsby Coffees close besides Starbucks...

  Impressive Covid Precautions

  Stayed overnight this past week . Our first Covid travel experience. Excellent job on cleanliness and safety. Masks are required , towels are prepackaged as are breakfast items. Even the remote control had been cleaned and wrapped in a plastic bag. Hotel is next to the highway so if you dont want traffic noise ask for a room away from the road. Desk staff were friendly .

  Very nice hotel, with one slight issue

  Stayed at this location with my daughter for a dance convention in the area. Great location near the outdoor mall and restaurants. Are felt safe and secure. The hotel was new and beautiful. Room very clean, the bed was comfy, and we had all the amenities we needed for our weekend. The breakfast was very good. My only issue with our stay was that my husband booked the hotel under his Marriott Rewards account. When I checked in I was told that the room was under his name and not mine. They said they would have to call my husband and get his permission for me to check in. Seriously?!?!?! I mentioned I have never had to do this before when checking in at Marriott properties. I also commented that my drivers license shows we have the same last name and live at the same address. Evidently, their policy is that they have to get verbal permission. So I said fine. I presumed that they would then call my husband since they have his Marriott Rewards account information but they didnt. I was asked to call him on my cell phone. I handed the phone over to them. I could have called ANYONE and they could have given permission for me to check in. They had no way of knowing if it was actually my husband giving permission. I truly understand the need for policies and rules. But I have very little patience for ones that make no sense and are an exercise in futility. I encourage this hotel to look into this and evaluate their policy.
