Staff makes the difference!Sure, there are plenty of these range hotels in the area so when making a choice the staff you interact with can lift a property from typical to awesome. As a Bonvoy Ambassador I usually still have to call and request an upgrade. I didnt have to here. In fact I wanted to arrive early and called last minute. The young lady, Kelly, who answered the phone was warm, understanding and anxious to help. The only problem was they were sold out the night prior, but she would work on it. After I made my way towards the hotel from the airport I checked back and Kelly picked up right where she left off. She offered to call me back when the room was ready, which she did very shortly thereafter. At check-in meeting Kelly was delightful. You could tell she was doing what she loved, but what amazed me was she was doing it only weeks. Again as an Ambassador with 260 nights a year I meet a lot of staff. Kelly possesses the personality and innate "make you feel welcome" tools that can't be taught, so she is miles ahead of those much older. During my stay, she repeatedly reaffirmed my comments here. I shared these with her GM and I was happy that she recognized that as well and I applaud her for the choices she has made and the culture she is responsible for. Thank you Kelly. Dont pass this property by!

Disappointed in This Marriott hotelAfter reading many positive reviews, my Husband and I decided to get rooms For our daughters upcoming wedding. Check-in was fine, and The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. the room was very basic and hadnt been updated for quite some time. The old heater/air conditioner was adequate but not the best. In the morning we were looking forward to our morning coffee, but they had run out. I needed to use The computer, but it was Broken. All common areas were dirty; the carpets looked like They had not been swept Recently. Would never recommend this place and it gives the brand Marriott a bad name.

stayed while I was in town to buy new carIt was the only hotel that had rooms. check in was ok. Next day I was locked out my room twice and had to come down to have cards re number. Called Sunday night to desk and told them I was going to stay an extra day, as the roads home were closed due to snow. The message was NEVER passed along, so I had housekeeping knocking on my door, wondering why I was in the room, as they showed no one in the room. I was again locked out of my room The extra day we had to stay, caused us to run out of clean clothes. When I went down to get some quarters on Monday night, they had NO quarters. By this time the laundromats were closing. when I di check out, I was told I would receive a receipt in my email. STILL waiting for that email. Front Desk girl VERY rude whole weekend

Questionable location, couldn't honor reservationUnfortunately (fortunately?) I cannot comment on a full stay here because they chose not to honor my reservation. My wife and I bought a new house in Greeley. We were moving out of our townhome on Feb 4 and taking possession of our new house on Feb 5. Because of this we booked a one-night stay at the Fairfield Inn. After many, many long days of finishing packing and getting things ready for the movers to load, we left Denver with our son on the afternoon of Feb 4 and arrived at the Fairfield Inn, exhausted and hungry, around 3pm. I had already completed the online check-in process via the Bonvoy app the day before so I expected to be able to just pick up keys at the front desk. As we pulled into the parking lot we saw two Greeley police cars parked immediately out front. We walked into the lobby as one of the officers was talking with the front desk agent. He was saying something like "yeah, I arrested her before for drugs ..." The agent responded that she had seen her around a bunch of times. We stood off to the side while they concluded their business and the police left. I told the agent that I was checking in and gave my last name. She said that one of the two rooms had been cancelled. I said that it shouldn't be, we needed two rooms. The agent said that it wasn't a problem, she could reinstate the second room. But then she said that there were no king beds available that night. I said that was going to be a problem as we were used to sleeping in a king bed. She said that she would give us two double queen rooms and wouldn't even charge us extra. I explained that to someone who is used to sleeping in king bed that a double queen room is actually a downgrade. She started saying that their general manager had just walked out the other day and left them high and dry and that things were in disarray, rooms weren't in service that were supposed to be and the scheduling was a mess. She also said that they were supposed to get a new general manager who was supposed to arrive that day, but hadn't. I said that I would have to look into another property. Now, that was fun. Apparently the hotel wanted to charge me a cancellation fee. I explained that I wasn't cancelling, they were cancelling. I said that I wouldn't cancel, all they had to do was honor the reservation. They couldn't. After an hour on the phone with Marriott customer service, they forced the cancellation through without a fee and booked me at the Springhill Suites in Windsor. Fortunately my awesome wife stopped and picked up Chick-fil-a on the way back because we were starving by this point having not eaten since breakfast. I contacted Marriott after this just to share my experience and my email was routed to Jennifer at the property management company that runs this hotel. She was full of excuses: - We oversell our rooms ... Really? What does an online check-in do then? And are you telling me that everyone had checked into rooms by 3pm? Or was it that your scheduling was a mess? What is interesting is that at 6am on the morning of Feb 4 I received 7 confirmation emails for the 2 king room reservation, with the original confirmation number. Those are only generated when someone is making a change to the reservation. Maybe trying to change my reservation to queen beds? Because then I received 2 confirmation emails with a different confirmation number for ONE double queen room. Definitely sounds like something shady was going on at the hotel. - The police often stop at hotels looking for people ... Really? I stay in hotels all the time and don't encounter this sort of thing. Maybe they only stop at hotels where criminals are more likely to be found. Hmmmm..... Thanks for basically blowing me off, Jennifer. You definitely made me feel like absolutely nothing will be changed at this hotel because your property management company, Ambridge Hospitality, really doesn't care.
