  A VERY NICE HOTEL AND LOCATION, BUT........

  This is a very nice Fairfield and the location is perfect. They also offer FREE onsite parking. Room decor is modern and well appointed. Beds were very comfy. By not being on the strip, you don't have all the traffic noise. Now the but......we were there for a Thursday and Friday night stay. First night was $149 but on Friday it jumped to $370. The reason being, it was leaf viewing season. I have been a loyal Marriott member for many years and have never seen increases like this on any of my travels....not even the full service Marriott in NYC.

  Front desk old man is a jerk

  Everything was fine until the old man came to the front desk. He shut the fireplace off at 10pm while we were watching tv. He was trying to run us out of the common area- pushing chairs in all around us. We are an older couple ourselves not causing any problems but he had a serious attitude. The nice young lady when we checked in said everything was open until 11. I will be calling the headquarters on him! Ridiculous!

  Perfect Location

  We went to experience the Christmas lights of Gatlinburg. Nice hotel- updated & a short walk to experience all of downtown. Close to shops & restaurants. No noise, free hotel parking. My only complaint was that between a Saturday night & Sunday night the price difference was over $125. Breakfast is now for the microwave & small fridge with a few items- waffles, sausage biscuits that you can heat & eat. We grabbed a banana as we left. Loved the huge- nice bathroom & great bed!!!

  Pool Pro

  Emily at the front desk is awesome. Unmatched world class customer service. I have personally dealt with another employee at this location that was a pain in the butt. This weekend in TN there was a bombing that hurt all ATAT and huge snowstorm at this hotel location so internet and everything was down. Emily wasnt phased by all the hectic stuff. Marriot...give that girl a raise or promotion. I am apart of corporate Marriot and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in a lot of different states. This was hands down my best experience due to EMILY and EMILY alone. I really hope someone in Marriot sees this and appreciates what they have in Emily. No I do not know her, never met her until today. This is also the first hotel review Ive ever made. Emily must have deserved to be highlighted. Thank you Emily. I pray the lord will bless you in 2020.

  Mixed experience, lack of masks in public spaces

  There's a lot to like about this hotel, and I really wanted to like it, but the lack of masks in public spaces led me to give this hotel a lower rating than I would have otherwise. I've been traveling across the U.S. for the last week, staying in Marriott hotels along the way, and Fairfield Gatlinburg had the highest percentage of non-mask-wearers (guests and staff) of any of the places I stayed. There are signs about wearing masks, but there's apparently no follow-through. I'd sure like to see this hotel improve compliance with mask-wearing in indoor public spaces during the pandemic.
