Great Stay!!!!I was recently in Gallup teaching a class for work. The staff at this location are extremely helpful, professional, and courteous. They most definitely go above and beyond. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is free and has a variety of options, and the coffee is flowing all day long. I would highly recommend this location to anyone traveling through Gallup.

Dangerous Walk Inn ShowerWhile this is a good hotel, as are most of the hotels in the Marriott chain, the walk-in showers are not safe. During my stay the evening of March 17, 2020, one of the heavy glass shower doors came out of the track when my wife tried to slide it open and fell against the inside wall of the shower stall. Luckily, she was not inside the shower at the time and the door did not shattered. I notified the desk clerk, and with her help was able to left to heavy glass door back into the track. I noted that there was no safety guard to keep the doors from coming out of the track. This problem needs immediate attention by management before someone is seriously injured.

Staffer lacks common sense....epic fail.Checked in on Sunday, May 10th while traveling. The employee that was on duty at 4p was quite in adequate of doing her job. We were assigned to room 212, see the attached photo of the view. I explained to her that wed been on the road for several long hours with our 1 year old and that we just wanted to eat and rest. She told me no one delivered, which I found hard to believe. Once we got settled, I discovered Dennys and several other businesses were available to deliver to us. Additionally, upon disinfecting the room, I discovered we had NO toilet paper and there was an alarming amount of dog/animal hair on the sofa and rug. Surprisingly, a bunch of human hair was in the shower as well. When our food arrived, said staffer did not allow the delivery person to bring it to our door. Unfortunately, this seems like the nicest place in this town. We just needed a clean and peaceful place to lay our heads for the night. This is not it. Icing on top, its just us and 3 other people in this hotel. She put us directly across the hall from the damn ice machine.

Movie crew stayGentle, kind and pleasant staffers. Stayed on ground floor with extra high ceiling! Asked for ground floor room and got it for 8 days. Good bathtub, good bedding and beds. 1 extra light would have been helpful. Nothing wrong with this one. I got the company to pay for it. Im poor, so a real treat for me, as i could never afford a room like this. 87 a night.

Pen in pillow? Do they even clean rooms?While laying in bed, we found a pen in our pillow. This is extremely unsettling, especially during a global pandemic, because it shows that you all are not cleaning your rooms after each guest. When I contacted the front desk, I was given the option to switch rooms or pick up new sheets from the front desk because there were no employees available, other than the single one working. Overall, this should not have been an issue from the beginning and should be resolved immediately. It took us 30+ minutes to even get our new room.
