    Crying over spilt MILK

    Weve stayed at Marriott / Fairfield Inn all over the Us.from Gaylord Palms to Pigeon Forge. One of the main reasons is the Complimentary Breakfast (we all know is not complimentary, rather figured into their rates) as it is nice time saver for us. We are normally early risers, but checked in around midnight and woke around 8am to make it down for breakfast at 8:45am to our surprise the bar was empty. Everything from cereal containers to the waffle batter machine gone not even a bagel or english muffin and 1 banana to split between the 3 of us. When confronting the front desk, he said it was because the ran out of milk, MILK! are you serious! Smh (Not to mention the hotel was not even near capacity). Looks more like a management issue, not a milk issue. Guests do not want to hear excuses when paying up for a quality stay. This was our 4th stay this summer at the Chippewa Falls location but unfortunately for them will be our last.

    Everything great until...

    The night clerk was super friendly, the room was really clean, pool area well kept...so why, why, why did the front desk people have their face masks hanging around their chins when I checked out at 10:00 a.m.? Why don't people in their position realize that in 2020, beyond it being a just a matter of rules or even safety, face-masking in public is a sign of respect - and not doing so sends a clear message of "I don't give a s***." They've got signs posted all over informing guests, appropriately enough, that masks are to be worn in common areas unless you're eating. Marriott makes this big, big deal on the website about all their rigorous cleaning protocols. How silly does that all seem if the hotel's own staff can't do any better than dangling their masks while in plain sight of the lobby? How's anyone then supposed to believe that kitchen staff were actually that careful when preparing the pre-wrapped grab-and-go breakfast items? Many of us who must travel are trying so hard ourselves to be careful, safe, and courteous in this era. FYI to management, this review will probably cost you. I myself outruled two other hotels for this trip (before booking with you) based solely on reviews seen here that reported unmasked employees. And I'm doubtfully the only one. And we might never consider those places again, even when this crisis is over. I know the masks get uncomfortable, and I usually take mine off as soon as I get in the car - but I wear it at length when I have too, and so can they, I would think. This would've been a five-star review (even after the tepid coffee) if not for that one thing. And it's only because those other aspects were handled so very well that it's three instead of one! I hope you can get this remedied.

    This Hotel Uses All Unscented Cleaning and Laundry Products!!!

    It is very difficult to find a hotel that uses all unscented cleaning products for cleaning the room and washing linens. This Hotel and the Residence Inn next to it were the only two in the whole area that do. Also, the windows open a little bit at this hotel so you can air your room out if you would like. I am giving this review so others like me and my husband that do not want to be exposed to all the chemicals in scented products can easily find that this is the place to stay. Other comments are that the hotel and room were very clean; the breakfast was good and all prepackaged because of covid. They did have prepackaged hard boiled eggs even though staff told us the day before when we called that they did not. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Cons were that you could hear the tvs through the walls, the internet is spotty so if you try to watch HBO or netflix (both free_ the show you are watching starts and stops often. We called the front desk and were told this is a problem that they have and there is no remedy so we switched to finished our movie on a smart phone.

    Just wanted to get there

    The staff was fantastic! Arrived quite late and the staff was extremely accommodating. I had a long night drive and it was quite late. Kenneth and Avala did everything they could to help me. I was very much satisfied with the room and the service!

    Great Stay

    This is a typical Marriott Hotel, everything was great. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Let us check in early. Breakfast was not what you usually see, but Covid19 has put a stop to that, but is was very adequate.
