    Brand spanking new property!

Very nice Hotel of a modern design. The staff was excellent and very knowledgeable about the local area. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with the amenities one would expect at Fairfield. Breakfast was provided to us within the Covid-19 restrictions, but the staff genuinely cared about our experience and even went above and beyond to get my wife a replacement yogurt after a mishap. Would highly recommend this property, and we look forward to staying here again under better global circumstances!

Convenient place to stay in Aurora, Colorado

Looking for a hotel near our nephew's home in Aurora, Colorado, we found the Fairfield Inn located right off the Interstate. The two-night stay was perfect. Check-in was quick, and the room was excellent. The only drawback -- and certainly not the fault of the hotel due to COVID-19 -- was no hot breakfast was available. There was a breakfast place right next door, along with other eateries close by. All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks goes out to the staff!

They do not care about your well-being

While staying here there was a group of people smoking in their room a few rooms down from ours, even though it was a no-smoking hotel. There was so much smoke in the hallway my sister was thrown into a server asthma attack. We had to go to the ER and at one point she even stopped breathing. The ER visit alone cost $300 copay up front, because we are out of network for our health insurance. Plus any additional ER visit costs. When we initially talked to the staff Janaie was very helpful and had told us that they had identified the rooms and assured us that they would be charged an additional fee and gave us a different room for the day. When we got back to the hotel after the ER visit they had a shift change and the ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER had told us that now there would be no way of figuring out who it was and there was nothing they could do. Are you serious?? Someone almost died in your hotel and there's nothing that you can do. I can't believe this person made their way to assistant general manager, it's a terrible look on your hiring process. I wouldn't trust this man to make a PB&J let alone run the hotel. I hope he gets fired and never finds another job in hospitality.

    Quick necessary stay

I was very disappointed in the health and safety precautions (or lack thereof) being taken at the hotel. When I entered to check in both counter staff members did not have masks on and only put them on once they saw me. No high touch surfaces appeared to have been wiped down recently and I never saw them cleaned during my stay. I never saw a SINGLE staff member including cleaning staff wear a mask inside the hotel despite the signs posted around. Many guests also were not wearing masks and were not asked to put them on. I did not feel any special cleaning procedures had been used in my room before arrival. Would never stay here again and question Marriotts commitment to safety of their guests. Would not recommend anyone stay here during COVID (our stay was one of last minute necessity) as I did not feel safe.

Very Unhappy, DONT stay at this property

I am on Temporary Duty in Colorado (Air Force) and my wife and I chose to stay at this Marriot property. First not one person I have seen including front desk staff wear masks, ever. Cleanliness at the hotel is also so-so, elevator doors are marked up and the carpets are not well cleaned. The room had multiple dings in the walls and the hallways smelled off. Temperature control in the hallways and elevators was bad, it was low 60's in the elevators with terrible drafts and hallway temps were a mixed bag, usually cold. The room AC controls were beat up and the unit worked intermittently. The people in the room above us were up most of the night banging around and neither of us slept. I called the front desk to ask them to talk to the occupants (3AM) visit but nothing was done, the noise never stopped. We went to dinner and when we returned Handicap parking was full. Im a disabled veteran and have a permanent HC placard. I noticed two vehicles in HC spaces neither had a permit or plates, and neither had moved in two days. I reported it to the night manager and he told me it was private property and the police wouldnt tow them. I was absolutely baffled as he was disinterested and didnt even offer to call the police to ticket the vehicles. I submitted a report to the Aurora Police department on my own. I have travelled the world active duty and stayed in many hotels in other countries and across the United States and I tell everyone reading this, FIND another property as the management and staff at this hotel (by virtue of their actions and inactions) and disregard for issues do NOT care about your safety. We are moving hotels tomorrow as I refuse to give Marriot a penny more for this terrible experience, the only good thing is Southlands proximity, but there are far better hotels nearby to stay in and still enjoy it.
