    Front desk did not enforce mask rule

    Fairfield Inn, Atmore, al, August 1 Tanisha was at the front desk when we arrived. Check in was fine. No luggage carts in lobby. Asked where they were. I dont know. I just checked in someone & they took the last one. I asked what floor they went to. I dont know. I dont remember. Really?? My husband & I are in our 70s. We need a cart! In addition, she did not inform us of check out time or breakfast time. About 15 minutes later, I went downstairs to go to my car. A group of 3 people were bringing in luggage. Only 1 person had a mask on. I asked them where their masks were. The sign on the door says you have to have a mask. Tanisha was standing right there at the front desk. She said NOTHING. Alabama has a mandatory mask law. Tanisha did not enforce the Alabama law or the Marriott rule! Infuriating!

    Poor customer service

    Called to reserve a room was told on the phone I wouldnt be charged until check in due to unforeseen circumstances I had to take father to hospital didnt meet check in was still charged for room when called to explain situation was met with rude ghetto customer service with no moral compass stole my money during a difficult time for me and my family greed from a corporate company strikes again when speaking with an associate asked for a name and was told no now why would anybody refuse to give name if they have nothing to be ashamed of hmmmmmm never again Fairfield never again wish the worst for rude staff

    Take a pass

    Front office is unwelcoming, masks hanging down and off their faces, lack professionalism, little to no customer service, told me that since I am JUST a rewards customer so I can only have until 12:30 for late check out, and large breaks in bathroom tiles. Based on this experience, I will remain "JUST" a rewards member and continue to take my business to Holiday Inn and Hyatt. I encourage you to take your business to either the h\Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. Both are just down the street. If I wasn't tired and didn't want the hassle, I would cancel this reservation on the spot and switch hotels. No one deserves this lousy service and to be exposed to Covid by the front office staff simply because they could care less about my health.

    Clean hotel friendly staff

    Stayed here in September while visiting our family. Hotel had a very friendly staff and the hotel was very clean and appealing. Hot coffee was available every morning with a bag breakfast. Was a great overall experience.

    Amazing little staycation

    A beautiful hotel with amazing staff! I've worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years from front desk agent to Sales to Assistant General Manager and I inspect everything. I could not find fault in this hotel in the slightest. There were children above us that seemed to be having a blast but that is nothing against the hotel. The rooms were exceptional, the lobby was clean and smelled nice and every staff member we encountered were kind and greeted us. The bed was insanely comfortable. It was probably the best night of sleep I've had in a while! I would highly recommend if your in the area or if you want a not so far from home staycation like we did!
