  Hit the spot

  Clean, spacious suites with friendly staff. Rooms offer a small kitchen and plenty of counter and drawer space. Our room also had a small couch. Breakfast was great and I appreciated the laundry service being onsite.

  Great deal for a nice place to stay

  Easy to get to, this hotel is fresh, clean, and the staff was great. Comfy beds, an awesome walk in shower, and modern styling makes this a great choice for those on the go. If you can get a room for 80-95$ a night, it's well worth it. Typical breakfast fare, but the fresh fruit was decent, and the sweetbreads offered were better than average. With Covid, the self-serve option goes away, but it doesn't detract much from getting the items you want at the breakfast counter.

  EXTREMELY PLEASANT STAY

  We arrived in the early afternoon and were greeted by a friendly, welcoming hostess. Check-In took only a couple of minutes. Due to this COVID thing, some of the amenities have been removed from the rooms, such as coffee pots, note pads, etc. We did need an ice bucket, so the young lady went a got us one. The room was extremely nice. It had a couch, desk, microwave, refrigerator, and a nice big screen TV. The room was most impressive. Additionally, there is a exercise room, pool, and patio. The lobby has a fire place with TV and computer work stations for the guest. Ample parking with luggage carts to help make your stay pleasureful. We highly recommend this hotel for a stay while visiting Altoona.

  The service was above and beyond, very nice customer service made us feel welcomed. The safety protocols were in place and made me less anxious about our potential exposure.   Cant say enough good things about this hotel. It is a five story property, with ample parking, and two brands under one roof (Fairfield and Towneplace). If you use pre-check in with the Bonvoy App to confirm your details, checking in should take 30 seconds or less, and they deliver on that. I was in and out so fast that my travel partner was shocked at the speed of check in. I requested extra pillows and blankets ahead of time, and they were in the room on arrival. My Queen Room featured a shower stall, so if you have kids and need a tub, make sure you notate in the comments on your reservation. The highlight in the COVID era to me was their breakfast service. It was grab and go as most hotels are, but this hotel takes it to the next level. There is a line to queue up, but you are able to choose exactly what you want in your bag. A breakfast host will grab your items for you and put them in the bag for you to take to your room or on the road. Items including bagels, cut fruit, yogurt, and hot items were available to choose from. Fairfield has come a long way, and I will definitely return to this property when Im in the area.
