  Nice place

  Really nice employees (every one we interacted with), clean rooms, clean hotel, breakfast with hot and cold food. Takes care of your basic needs quite well and has a pool. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked good. Don't think there was a hot tub.

  Middle of the Road

  I had a decent experience during the duration of my stay at the Fairfield Inn - Kalamazoo West. We stayed here because of its convenient location to restaurants and other attractions in the area. The rooms themselves were of an average hotel room size but were closer to the smaller end of the spectrum. Our room was clean upon arrival. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pool was drained and was not open because of this. There was no breakfast buffet available as well. Therefore each person was given a bag of one granola bar, one orange cup, and one bottle of water if they wanted something to eat. Overall, the hotel wasnt too bad, but it definitely wasnt anything to brag about either.

  Weekend Trip

  We were allowed to check in early. I dealt with Leslie who was very sweet. She introduced herself and told us to call her if we needed anything. I appreciated her friendliness and professionalism. Our room 212 was clean, we didn't have any issues. The beds and pillows are soft. I was in the elevator with one of the staff members and she asked if our room was ok and if we needed anything. I would stay there again.

  Staff is top notch!

  This is our favorite place to stay in Kalamazoo. Lace and the staff here are top notch. They've gone out of their way to help us have a comfortable stay. The hotel and the rooms are clean and have a mini fridge.

  OK but room for improvement

  Older hotel next to closed cracker barrel. Renovated and they try to help but the details are lacking. Handles on sink and toilet fell off. I had to put back on and be careful not to knock off. Shower lacks water but I guess that is how the new ones are. Smokers right outside side doors. Expressway noise. Staff does not seem to care about how loud guests are. Loud yelling at 5 am. Rooms are clean and tv was good. Internet quite slow without gold/platinum upgrade. Staff put on masks when I came up to desk. Breakfast was supposed to have choices but they were out. You get a little bag of what they have. I guess OK but I expected Marriott quality. I'd pay a little more for a nicer place next time.
