Skip ItLet's be clear, this is NOT a true B & B. It's a rickety old house broken into individual rooms with bathrooms the size you would find in a budget cruise ship with zero counter space. There was no firmness to the bed such that you wake up with a backache every day. The so called "breakfast" was a light snack approximately what you might find at a La Quinta (minus the waffles) beginning at 9 AM and no coffee was available till then. So... if you wanted coffee earlier or wanted to get an early start on your day you were pretty much on your own. The only good thing about this place is its proximity to St Charles and easy access to public transportation.

Latest & Greatest of Many StaysWeve stayed here so many times that weve lost count. Beatrice the innkeeper has become a friend through the years and she treats us like family when we show up for Mardi Gras and other assorted NOLA fixes. This includes allowing us to invite friends over for visits on the porch and back garden area, which we appreciate very much. We love old and historic places so we love this place very much. However, you should know before you go that the stairs to some of the rooms are very steep, the toilets dont always flush, the hot water takes awhile to heat up in the mornings, and paint is peeling. On the other hand, breakfast is substantial, there are five or six enclosed parking spaces that come with the price (otherwise, parking on the street is easy and free), you can walk everywhere and never move your car again, the college dorm-sized fridge is appreciated, and the warmth and caring of the staff cannot be beaten. Its just a matter of preference.

Great location and lovely staffThis b and b is not too easy to find as there is no sign. It consists of three old houses and is quite quirky. Our room 18 was on the ground floor with its own entrance . The beds are a bit old but everything worked and the old fashioned bathroom had lots of towels and was fine. Breakfast is simple though on our third morning we got eggs. Beatriz the owner is very helpful as was Giero , Erica and Ross. We were definitely glad to be staying in the area which was very near the streetcar. It was lovely to escape back here in the evening.

Has great character. The rooms were quaint, creaky, old, and a little run down. But that's what we expected and we were very satisfied with our stay. The guy that checked us in was very helpful as to all the surrounding places to walk to and helped us in every way he could. Off street parking was also a plus. Would recommend and would stay again. Tons of character in this old building.
