  Great rooms, good internet, friendly service

  I stayed here during a recent retreat for business. Overall I was really impressed and enjoyed the hotel. Its part of a chain of hotels (Explorer) which I have never heard of or stayed at before, but for sure would consider in the future. Had the location been slightly better would have given it 5 stars. In terms of service, I found it very great. Check-in/check-out was a breeze and there is a good bar with friendly service from staff who were willing to stay open late even though we were the only group there. Theres a good range of top local beers as well! Also it seems they do bike rentals in the summer - I saw some very modern looking mountain bikes hanging in lockers, and if I'd had some more time this would have been high on my to do list. The rooms are very clean, well laid out with a strong Wi-Fi connection. I stayed on the top floor and there was a nifty rooftop window which gave really nice light and had electronic shutters that ensured a good dark room despite early morning light. Shower pressure was great (sometimes a problem in Europe on multi-level buildings) and the bed comfortable. For those without a car, the location may be a little out of the way. But you're within 5-15 minutes driving of all attractions, so its pretty convenient. There's also a McDonalds right next door which may or may not be an advantage depending on your culinary tastes. Overall, a good hotel for a reasonable price. If I'm back in the area I would for sure consider staying here again and will look out for the Explorer chain of hotels in the future!

  Funky Hotel

  Very modern hotel The staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome A lot of use of wood gives the hotel a real charm The rooms are just fine, the beds comfortable Some food is available at the bar but if is limited, it is located next to a burger restaurant and there seemed to be a number of local restaurants within a couple of kilometres of the hotel. The hotel has a sauna but I didn't use it so can't comment.

  Cozy, modern and clean pleace

  Been there for a night during trip around Bavaria. Hotel is very clean, stuff is friendly and ready to help, wifi is strong. They offer really great breakfast - I loved it! Good place if you love sport and outdoor activities.

  Overprized and bad service

  The hotel is quite nice, but it is way overprized. 130 for one night in a rather small room. The double rooms come with two matresses with a 10cm gap inbetween. There are not even mugs for drinking. The shower water doesn't run off - the whole bath will be wet for hours after you shower. The cleaning personal entered multiple times although we asked for privacy. I would recommend to stay in the surroundings at smaller private places rather than at this "hip" hotel (which is situated right along the main road as well).

  Modern and Clean

  Very clean and modern hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, if you want to walk into Oberstdorf centre it takes about 20 to 25 minutes. Breakfast had lots of choice and it had the facility to cook your own omelette etc.
