Does not look like the pictures, it's dirty and is extremely overpriced. This isn't a hotel like advertised, it's more like a motel. It's straight off of the motorway and you can hear the cars zooming past. Me and my partner booked to stay here for 3 nights in September. After they took our money, they pointed to the rough direction of where our room may be, leaving us to try and find it. The rooms are not attached the the hotel and you have to walk across the car park to try and guess which building you're staying in. After entering the room we were shocked to see it looked nothing like the photos. The room was small, dirty, it smelt really bad and furniture was broken/falling apart. We were in the room from 10 minutes maximum before we decided we could not stay here. We asked the receptionist if she could refund us the money as they hotel was not how it was advertised and they had the audacity to only refund for 2 nights, even though we were only in the room for 10 minutes - we hadn't even taken our things out of the car yet. There seemed to be a lot of builders staying there, so I'm sure it's fine for a one night stop over but it was not the break we were hoping for after driving for so long to get there. In summary, this hotel does not look like the pictures, is dirty and is extremely overpriced.

Exeter Court Motel, Plus !On Friday 16th October we traveled to Exeter Court Hotel for a little celebratory break. 13 A few days before we went to Devon, I thought it might be nice for my wife to receive some flowers on her birthday. Ashton, who is the events manager, Organised flowers and ensured that they were delivered with a smile at the breakfast table. All costs we managed over the phone. I am SO grateful to her ! SATURDAY We could not order the lovely salmon and scrambled egg breakfast that Carol had been looking forward to as the chef had no salmon in stock.... but ,what we had was very nice. Imagine Carol's face when Ashton arrived with the bouquet of flowers. Classic ! Lol Sadly, not everything was good . That night was disturbed by a boiler in the cupboard next door. In fairness, reported it in the morning and was moved very quickly ! We were VERY impressed ! Sadly, upon our return we found that the bed had not been made. I went to reception. Explained our concern. The receptionist asked if there was anything that had been left on the bed. Maybe an empty back bag but no sign in the room saying that if items are left on bed, bed will not be made. After a slightly difficult discussion she rang the manager. The manager I believe requested the receptionist to resolve the problem. Her comments were more or less that she would ask the waiter to do the job... ' But if he can't do it, I suppose I'll have to do it myself ... ' The waiter did come to the room and so all was well. The real issue was not the unmade bed but the negative attitude. So very different from the rest of the team. I have to say, the hotel is very clean ad the staff friendly and by enlarge, efficient. As a hotel, I was not over impressed but.... As a quality no frills Motel... It is EXCELLENT ! ( Always end on a positive !)

lovely little findWe spent 4 nights here and were very pleased to have found this little gem. Yes it's off the main A38 but we didn't hear any traffic noise the whole of the time we were inside the room. The bedroom was spotless, the bed amazingly comfy and the bathroom was lovely the shower was very powerful and didn't drip. The shower gel and shampoo were a nice touch and smelt gorgeous, the hospitality tray was refilled every day and the room made up. We had breakfast in the restaurant each morning and the food was as good as the bedroom, plenty of it piping hot cooked breakfast, cereal, yogurt, toast, juice etc. My husband loved the mega breakfast with a small supplement was well worth it. We had an evening meal there which was lovely and the waiting staff were amazing. I hate to pick on one person but 5 stars to Raj who was so helpful and attentive. Everyone in the hotel was amazingly friendly and willing to help, the whole place was very covid aware with plenty of hand sanitiser and temperature taken on arrival. Really pleased to have found this hotel and will definitely stay again, have already booked for next year:) Well located for the south Devon coast and not a long run to north Devon either.
