  Good value for money hotel, better than more expensive options in the wider area (Marmari, Karystos). Modern installations, polite personnel, nice view from the room, adequate buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

  A lovely and budget-friendly summer stay near Athens

  We spent three days of our summer vacations at Evia Hotel & Suites during the peak period around 15th of August. Communication with the owner about the arrangements was frequent and excellent (as we had some special requests) and he was also kind enough to help us find an additional room at a nearby hotel (his hotel was almost fully booked). The hotel is ideally located less than 10 mins from the Marmari port, at the top of a hill, which provides it with a lovely view of the sea.The rooms were modern and practical, with comfortable beds, flat (but pretty small) TV, free WiFi and a convenient balcony with table and chairs. Bathroom was also good, with a shower cubicle, hairdryer and all necessary amenities. No safe in our room, but we generally felt safe leaving our stuff in the room (we do not carry valuables with us). One of the hotel's strongest points is its pool; it is pretty large (one of the largest I've seen in hotels), deep and wide enough for adults and an additional, smaller one for the kids. The view during sunset was amazing (plus setting sun reflecting on the water), and many of us were taking photos of the scenery. There were lots of loungers and chairs around the pool, on the grass, for relaxing and sunbathing and there was a lovely pool bar with a large selection of beverages (from coffee to drinks). Breakfast was another strong point, as it consisted of various sweet and savory dishes, in huge quantities to accommodate the numerous customers. I especially appreciated the espresso machine (not a big fan of filter coffee) and my kids loved the hot chocolate (which unfortunately ran out pretty quickly - due to high demand?). The staff was really fast and kind, always helping us with a smile and restocking all items. While breakfast items seemed to be the same during all days, with only minor changes, there were so many of them that we didn't get bored of them :-) As we don't eat lunch during our holidays (save it to extend our swimming at the pool or beach), we didn't have the chance to try the interesting buffet options of the hotel (changing daily). However, the center of Marmari is at walking distance and we found plenty of options for family dinner, good quality and low prices. Karystos, another town next to the sea, is about 10km by car and provides plenty of options for food, drinks and nightlife. All in all, we had a great time as a family at the hotel and were greeted with a smile by the owner and his daughter during check out. Taking into consideration the proximity of the place from Attica (just 1 hour by ferry from Rafina port) and the , we would definitely consider staying there next year for another short summer break from Athens!

  It is for families and couples which like the swimming pool only and not the beach. Friendly staff, Clean room, Efficient breakfast and dinner, clean swimming pool. Not playground for children and a pool bar without full of service

  Fantastic family holiday!

  Thank you for a wonderful holiday at your hotel! Great hospitality, breathtaking view! We loved the place and owners, we hope to be back!! Our kids loved the infinity pool and we loved be bar! Beautiful area :)

  A below average hotel

  The hotel is located in a beautiful site and has a great swimming pool. Those are the pros... On the other hand the rooms are not very clean (there was something sticky on the desk, sand in the bathroom and some other minor neglects.) The air condition when on, smelled awful, the breakfast had a lot to choose from but there was no authentic Greek taste, all were second grade and most were store bought and not handmade. Lastly the most crucial for me...you can hear everyone and everything in your room. Slamming doors,talking etc no sufficient noise reduction was applied in the rooms. Oh and the bed were very hard, woke up sore...
