Day of the deadHotel and terraces were beautiful. Wish we knew our room had a shared bath up front....We did ask. Men's shower never once had hot water. Night four other people sharing toilet left huge waste in men's toilet. Four women sharing women's toilet made it impossible to access toilet and men's was disgusting. Told hotel staff and they did nothing. Several of us requested a bucket and bottles to try to flush waste down. Five rooms sharing two toilets too much when staff not cleaning more than once a day. Web site says multi lingual. But not true. Unless you count using iPad/iPhone translation icons. Staff very pleasant but would not stay again. Especially since the hostel Chocolate across the street is only $7 US ($14 for two) verses the $74 US we paid for a private room and bath.

Not a great place to stayWe paid for a deluxe double room, but that is not what we got. The room was small seemed like it hadn't been rented in awhile as blanket was worn out, toilet didn't flush, no hot water nor water pressure. Come to find out the pump & water heater for this room were not on. The room was next to the breakfast room & was very noisy from guest & the staff that mopped the floors every morning at 6am. There was a window over the door & the light from the hallway shined in all night. We asked the manager if they could turn off the light at night which they did. A lot of noise from the street. If you're looking for a decent calm peaceful not hectic hotel this is NOT the place.

Day of the DeadA lovely hotel, with beautiful terraces, we sat on the very top terrace and ended our days with a beer, or started them with a coffee... Though the staff is not bilingual per se, we had no trouble communicating and finding places to eat, visit, explore etc., through the online translator app. The staff we met, Angelina and Daniel, were both kind and accommodating. The breakfast was nice, a simple continental. It being Day of the Dead we week, we were given Pan de Muerto. Our room had two beds and a private bath, as well as a little private kitchen area. The room was clean, and comfortable. Our fan wasn't working, and as soon as we mentioned it, they brought us another. It was quiet and convenient to walk the city. The tours we went on picked us up right in front of the hotel. We would certainly go back again.
