  stayed here 11 years ago nothing has been done to the rooms since, the sheets and towels were clean the rooms are very old and run down, very noisy with the Police hellicopter flying over several times at night. spa blocked and out of order. fridge noisy

  Dont do it!

  Oh dear, is all I can say! I stayed at this motel over 10 years ago, and let me tell you it is NOT the same quality Motel it was. Might I suggest you look for something else. We left there very quickly & headed to The Sebel Hotel at Moonee Ponds.

  Excellent for a quick stop near the airport

  We stayed at Essendon motel for 2 nights. The first night we flew in and the night before we flew out. It was exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel! The room was clean, the staff were super friendly (gave us a free upgrade on both nights) the room was dark for a comfortable sleep and the water had hard water pressure and was hot! It was only 7 minutes to the airport. Next time we are in Melbourne we will return!

  Avoid, avoid, avoid

  Old, tired, worn out. Not even a kettle! One should have known better, based on the price. 6.00pm Monday night, a gathering of guests directly outside of my room, lots of loud yelling/arguing/swearing. I ask to move rooms, the argument continued. The receptionist knew one of the arguing guests by name (might be a regular). 4 police arrive....one of the first questions from a policeman "who was trying to hit who with a hammer? Six o clock on a Monday night!! Hmm. I did not stay the night.

  Why is this motel allowed to operate?

  This motel is seriously one of the worst motel/hotels we have ever stayed in ..the only reason we stayed was because we needed a bed for the night we had been extremely busy helping our daughter move all day anyway we checked in (should of read reviews first) no other hotels available in that area .. Firstly after been on the go since the crack of dawn we were looking forward to a hot shower..no such luck water was cold bathroom filthy ...room was grubby and dated ..no TV and basic...we had to go out until late got back at midnight ...tv had mysteriously appeared in our room? (While we were out)..we spent the night being bitten by flea's listening to screaming shouting people partying and police helicopters circling ...spent the rest of the night basically waiting for our car alarm to go off or someone breaking into the room!..as soon as it got light we packed up and left
