  Fabulous New year break(3rd visit)

  Arrived on the 30th for New Year.A day early to settle in There friends there from the years previous and the 2 Johns were there again catering for all our needs The food and comfort were pèrfect as usual We had a beautiful 4-course meal and afternoon tea included in the price We will return next New Yearand enjoy ourselves again

  Excellent

  Stayed overnight en route to the Lake District. The Hotel is located in the centre of Langholm and has a car park to the rear. The staff are very friendly and efficient with a great selection of beers and spirits in the cocktail bar. Our dinner was first class and the menu has a wide choice of items. Breakfast was also excellent. Whilst the Hotel is old, the decor internally is both modern and well appointed. Would stay here again without question.

  Scotland Holiday.

  3rd year of staying here. Extremely high standards of hospitality. The owners know their market. Polite, courteous staff, housekeeping and room service faultless coupled with tasty homecooked food. No hesitation in recommending this establishment.

  I have stayed here several times whilst attending events locally and have always found the staff friendly and welcoming, the food excellent and the rooms well prepared, warm and clean. Breakfasts are as hearty as the evening meals and there is an excellent selection of good beers and whiskies available in the bar - all at very fair prices.

  We have been staying at the Eskdale hotel several times a year for the past four years We keep going back as the service at the hotel is fantastic as are the meals, all the staff are very welcoming and the two directors of the hotel go out of their way to make sure our stay is always special.
