  Horrible & Creepy Stay

  After we checked into the hotel at night, when we walked along the corridor to our room (they gave us the end room), we saw all the other rooms on the same floor were leaving the doors open and dark inside (Not sure if they are all under maintenance?) The corridor light was flickering... even the light in our room were flickering too... and guess what... the room light burst off in the midnight... omggggggg....... the whole hotel was so under maintenance... felt so terrifying....

  Dirty, loud and very run down

  What can I say? We stayed here with our children (3 years and 7 years old) as a stop on our way up to the islands on the north of the east coast. When we checked in we asked about somewhere for breakfast, the man on reception then informed us that the restaurant was closed. We then asked about local places and his reply was "Don't know maybe Kuantan". Just for the record, Kuantan is about 45 minutes drive from the hotel. The only part of the room that was clean was the bedsheets. The floor was visibly dirty with broken floor tiles. The bathroom was awful and we even found rusty nails on the floor. We couldn't use the balcony at all it was so dirty! The beach access has almost completely been removed, there are new huge rocks (I assume as a breakwater) that you have to climb over to get to the sea. The final nail in the coffin was a group of teenagers staying that partied until about 3 am in the morning running around the hotel, slamming doors and playing music so loud we couldn't sleep. At that point, we decided to check out early and go as soon as we could. Also, be warned, there are no staff at all on-site from early evening until the morning, not even a single security guard.

  Bad services

  Old style room. Very limited rubbish bins around. Bad services. Dirty pool. Junction to enter the hotel too hidden. Always miss the junction. Should put proper bigger signboard. Parking limited too. No signage to dangerous sea condition. Lift only 1 and too old. Always stuck the door unopen. Price should be lower than current price even it's on promotion. 1st and last I come here. Not satisfied at all.

  Basic place for a short holiday

  The place is nice but too basic. Restaurant is not open due to Covid-19. Room is ok but the are plenty of ants even in the refrigerator. There are monkeys running around the area finding food in the trash. Maybe because of Covid-19, everything seems so dull.

  Value for money

  Facilities: old fashioned, clean and reasonably maintained given a beach accommodation. Rooms: clean, you may find stains etc. but not due to lax cleaning. Staff: friendly, does a good house keep job though there are misses here and there. You can ask them to rectify. Restaurant: all closed due to Covid-19 Beach: perfect miles of sandy beach shared with other top Cherating resorts, strong waves during monsoon months Location: food is easy if you have your own transport, recommend to visit Cukai town. Prone to flood, so check weather forecasts before booking during monsoon months Value for money: Very good if you can get online deals
