  Terraza espectacular con vistas a la Viña

  Nos lo recomendaron en una bodega, accedimos y nos animamos con el Degustación casi todo era vegetal de huertas propias... todo estaba muy equilibrado, dentro del Degustación hay quesos que eliges sin problema, muy recomendable.

  Disappointing

  The hotel rooms are nicely decorated, the hotel is very well situated and charming. But that was half of the story. Half of our bill (400+ for 3) was spent at the restaurant - which should be avoided at all costs. The staff seemed to be on their first summer job and knew little about the wine list, unable to advise us on our wine selection. The communication between staff, kitchen and clientele was disastrous: our childrens pre ordered meal arrived an hour late, we waited also an hour for our aperitif, and two hours for dinner. By the time we were served, we were all on edge, arguing with the staff instead of enjoying the view on the vineyards. Half of the main dishes were unavailable (resorting to chicken when we wanted a côté de boeuf - unavailable - a pigeon - unavailable - and a turbot fish - also unavailable). By the fourth try, we gave up, the staff picked the chicken (we did not pay for it). We ended the dinner much more tipsy than we wanted as a result of drinking before ever eating, and especially as we found the food portions too small and as were given a free liquor (too little too late). We left a good tip as we felt sorry for the staff who clearly seemed inexperienced, and wanted to send a message that this is more the managements responsibility : have the right staff, enough staff, and enough food at the peak of the highest season in Burgundy. These mistakes are not one a well established and high end hotel should ever be making. Avoid the restaurant. There are plenty of other options in the area!

  What a gem

  Stopped for a night on a long drive and cant wait to return. Room was big and spacious, beautiful bar and restaurant but the real gem is the people here that did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

  Fantastic dinner

  Gastronomie bourguignonne à son top What a treat Every course is beautifully presented Taste buds in heaven Volnay To go with this incredible gourmet experience We stayed the night and the room was spacious and well decorated Scrumptious breakfast to set us off for the day

  Over priced/ poor service

  We stayed here as a nice overnight stay on the way to the alps skiing. The hotel is nice as are the rooms. However the restaurant is extremely poor and over priced and should be avoided at all cost. Expect to pay at least the same as a top restaurant in London with none of the services. Be prepared the cheapest bottle of wine is about 40 euros. Based on this we had expected/ hope for a lovely special family meal with nice food and wines. However, the Food and wine were overpriced but mainly the service was extremely poor. We sat down for a quick evening meal at 7pm and had to cancel desert ( which still did not arrive) and settle the bill to get the kids to bed at 10:45. The staff were not very apologetic about the situation either and acted like it was our fault Overall I would say nice rooms, average food ( but over priced) and poor service. Also drinks were v expensive. Bottle of water 6.5 euro per bottle and wines start at 40 euro but most are over 100 euro per bottle. If a hotel is trying to charge these prices I expect a much more polished service. However this is where the hotel fails !!
