Excellent experience for our family but not for luxury seekers

We stayed in a suite for a week of ski holiday which is a good size for our family of 4. Bathroom is pretty spacious with bathtub and shower which we really like. Amenities and facilities are clean and modest but don't expect anything more. However, the Fendolino's Kid's club is amazing with Plummi as the main staff in charge. She is awesome with kids and a very good entertainer. We were very fortunate to have her helped us babysit our 10 month old baby in the morning so we could attend ski lessons. Overall, we find the service from this hotel excellent especially from the reception desk, the 2 ladies were very helpful and professional. What is nice about this hotel is the ski lift and ski rental are just right next door which is so convenient. We will definitely come back for the skiing. The breakfast buffet selection is great, no complaints. However the dinner menu is a hit or miss. Wish they can improve on their consistency. Another issue is they have no wifi in the rooms which is a minus. To sum it all, we find this hotel relatively value for money. You get what u pay.

    Family friendly hotel

Fendels is just a cute little place. I stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The staff is friendly and the best thing it has to offer is the wellness area for adults. Although it is only open 3 days (Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) but on the other days you can use the family wellness area. In addition, you can also book beauty treatments and massages. Breakfast is also good and it offers a great variety of warm and cold food. This hotel is more dedicated to families. They offer an activity plan for kids and the hotel has a big playing room. I'm rating this hotel was poor because it needs some renovations (e.g. the pool area), you only have wi-fi in the lobby, the decoration was outdated, you have less than the basics in the room (there is no hairdryer or safe, if needed you need to pay extra to use them) and for me it is not a 4* hotel as announced. Furthermore, one of the days that we arrived back at the hotel our room door was completely open!! Luckily everything was there... and I've been told that the room service forgot to close the door. Overall my stay was positive, the surrounding area is just breath taking but the service at the hotel was not convincing enough for returning a next time.

    very badly managed hotel

We have spent a week in this hotel, between 26 December 2015 until 2 January 2016. Good points: The hotel has a great location, at the parking of the Fendels ski lifts. Fendels ski domain is very small but well run, excellent for beginners. Negative points: WIFI: in theory there is free wifi available. In pratice it does not work except for some rare moments when it is slow and unreliable. Wellness: there are two, one for the family one for adults only. Both open at 16h so if you are a morning person forget about it. They are open until 20h, a period of time that nicely overlaps with the time the dinner is served, namely from 18h-20h. How convinient! The one for the family has a 9mx5m swimming pool, a tiny and old bio-sauna and a tiny Turkish bath. The size of the area is highly insufficient when the hotel is at its full capacity. The entire space is indoor and has no windows to outside. The rooms have a strong echo so when a lot of noisy children play you can only hope that you will not loose your hearing entirely. The adult wellness is spacious. However, it does not have a swimming pool, nor a jacuzzi. The aromas offered by the hotel are of the lowest possible quality, cheap synthetic fragances. The tea offered at the wellness falls into the same category. Room: The rooms a very simple, just big enough to fit 2 double beds in them. The bathrooms are plain, with cheap, white wall tiles and cheap, grey floor tiles, hastily placed without much consideration for esthetics. The beds are very cheap, the matresses very thin, the sleep comfort is poor. The pillows are extremly soft, very poor quality. The worst about the room we had, number 106, was that is it straight above the pub downstairs. The pub does not open until after 11pm and it stays open as long as the party goes. Needless to say that you hear the music very well from your bed, no need to get all dressed up and go downstairs; you can dance in your room. If things get totally out of hand and the volumes becomes so loud that your kids will wake up in the middle of the night no problem, they can join the party as well. At that hour there is no hotel personel present and no phone number you can call. You can either join the party or go and try to convince a bunch of young, drunk austrians that you would preffer to sleep. After this happened the first time I have complained at the reception in the morning. They deplored the situation and assured me that it will not happen again. Of course it did. Twice, in the next 6 nights. By the way, the manger was not even there. She was away having her Christmas holiday, in the peak of the season. What a life! Breakfast: Cheap is the main idea here as well. There is no ham, cheese, coffee or juice of decent quality, everything is as cheap as possible. In a country that invented viennoiseries I have seem croissants once. They were the leftovers from the New Year's Eve party. By the way for the New Year's Eve party the hotel did not provide anything to drink at midnight. You could of course order from the bad your glass of champaign but pay it from your own pocket. Dinner: More of the same, limited choice, repetitive menu's, poor quality, humongous portions. The wine that we tasted were of poor quality at prices of over 25EUR a bottle. Moreover, the timing of the serving is insane, they will feed you a 5 course dinner in under 1 hour! Eat up! General remarks: The hotel hallways and corridors look like those of an old hospital from the past century. They stress the general idea of a cheap hotel nobody cares of.

    Absolutely NOT customer friendly

We stayed a week in March with two small kids: 4 and 1. This hotel commercial is referring to be very family friendly, but unfortunately there is not much friendlliness in their approach towards the customer- starting from a very unfriendly bartender, a few waiters and reception. Thursday and Friday they organize a night bar in their basement - very loud music goes through the entire hotel all night long waking up the kids. Despite of the multiple requests neither the dj nor reception was willing to help to turn down the volume a bit as the kids woken up multiple times during the night. We asked the next day about the same - nothing was done. In the bar stayed both evenings 3 local teenagers. Absolutely ignorant behavior for family hotel.
