  Horrible

  I have not stayed at this hotel but I live close and I have tried their food. The food is really bad, like really, really bad! Then they have the LOUDEST karaoke nights ever! I hear the music in my apartment as good as if there would be a band next to my bed. Will not ever go back

  A star is born

  Why have many stars on the hotels. When you can have epimenidis. Nice staff. Nice rooms. Nice hospitality. And a nice pool. You are only 5 min away from freedom and nice Places to eat.. so if you want to save money and use Them on fun. Choice epimenidis.

  Just a wonderful place!

  Travelled with family (2 adults and 2 teens in one room and 2 adults in another). Nice friendly welcome, with complementary drinks always a good start to a holiday! Friendly chap at reception, who would always help if you needed to know something he was more than happy to book a boat trip for us. Great bar staff, especially Neff, who was good company and also a useful font of knowledge of the area and Chania. Bar food was pretty good for lunch virtually everything on the menu from the adjoining restaurant below mezes were pretty good (probably the best dolmadakia in the area!), gyros really good, toasties, pizza, etc.! Rooms we had a superior family room, which had an internal mezzanine floor, with a bathroom and a separate en suite shower room. Really good size. Balcony also a decent side, with nice furtniture. Very hot at the height of summer, but we sweated it out! There is air con if you want to pay for it. The cleaners came every day and changed sheets/towels every other day again really friendly! Nice touch theres washing up liquid and a tea towel providedand the kitchen did have a bottle opener! The other two members of our party had a single room apartment, which had a nice pool and was a good size for the two of them. Pool perfect size for the apartments and nice and deep (3m at deep end). Sunbeds generally available but sometimes you had to shift things about to get them together as people followed the sun! there seemed to be an absolute glut of inflatables, so have a little look before buying any more. Beach go across the street and 100m down a path and youre on the beach! The beach here has a rock platform, so not great from swimming and often had a red flag flying when we were there. If you turn right and walk east youll eventually get to sandy beaches with plenty of sunbeds (mostly free when you buy a drink at the adjoining tavernas we used Coral Beach Bar, where the beach was particularly nice!). Excursions the main Little Fun Train is directly opposite and this has various trips you can do using the little road train. We did three over the two weeks Southern Comfort (which took in the brewery, German War Cemetery and a couple of villages), Orange Valley (which takes you to an orange grove and more villages!) and the Water Park (prices are pretty much the same doing it this way compared to paying for a transfer). All were pretty good and a nice way to while away a few hours. Boat trips can be found at Platanias Harbour, which is about a 10-15min walk left out of the apartments. There also various other excursion agencies nearby. Buses regular (every 15mins) buses to Chania from bus stop about 20m right of the apartments. Bars the bar at the apartments was always a good start and end to the evening. Tuesdays is karaoke, so either enjoy or beware! Kuhla was a good cocktail bar, Level Bar was also nice and friendly. Restaurants theres absolutely loads! Theres a lot on the main road and various tavernas on the seafront and theres also several gems tucked away. We didnt have a bad meal in the fortnight! A quick run downGreco Mare on the beach, Romeos Family Restaurant, Las Gegas (really good!), Erontas (mezes), Kassandra (pizza, ok), Alexia all these on or just off the main road. However, the nicest restaurants, in our view, where up in a small square slightly off the beaten track, basically turn right out of the apartments, keep going for about 1km until you get to the petrol station, turn right and head up there. First place youll find is Aletri, which is superb and then up in the square bit theres several other restaurants, Olivi, Neraida were good, but the best out of the lot was Horiatiki, on the left on the corner at the top of the hill. Hospitality, great food, a stunning amount of random freebies, just brilliant. We dont normally go back to the same place more than twice on holiday, but ended up here three times! Anyway, overall a brilliant holiday! We absolutely loved the resort and especially the Epimenidis and we hope well come back again one day!

  Nice and clean

  Very nice and clean Hotel. (floors could be cleaner, other wise everything ok). Nice pool. Restaurant had also good food, gyros,pizza and mousaka for example. Location was easy, everything nearby. Travelled with Kids and i would go back to this Hotel again, if going to hania again. Nice restaurants close By,i recommend Nymfi and Meraki tavern close, up on the hills.

  Great location and lovely staff

  My friend and I are two girls from Denmark, who spend 1 week in Agia Marina and stayed in Epimendis hotel. Our flat consisted of 1 bedroom, 1 dining room with a small kitchen, 1 bathroom, and 2 outside sitting areas. We enjoyed to make our own breakfast and there were plenty of shops nearby the hotel witch made it easy to get groceries. It is not a 5 stars hotel, but you get good value for the money. It is a cozy hotel, with a nice pool area and a great location. If you go 5 minutes to the left youll reach our favorite bar Tropicano and of course much more. The best thing about the hotel was definitely the staff. Very friendly and helpful people. The lovely receptionist help us with renting a car and because of her we got a great discount. Also she help us book a boat trip. If we needed anything they were available to us. If youre looking for a cozy and budget friendly hotel, this is the perfekt place to stay :-)
