    Comfort hotel with nice onsen

The Japanese room was a bit old but it was spacious. The hotel Onsen was very good especially the outdoor one. The room price included dinner and breakfast and both are very tasty. Since there was no restaurant nearby the hotel, suggest to order hotel dinner when making the booking. Overall, it was value for money!

    Convenient

The views from the hotel are just like the brochure. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, and could not do enough to help us. We enjoyed a very nice meal in the evening. For foreign visitors be aware the name on the hotel is in Japanese only. The room was very run down and the hotel I would rate as 2 star. We used this hotel for its location near to Magome and the Nakesendo Trail.

    Hotel with First Class View

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for just one night. The Hotel might be dated, but it offers the best view for the Ena Valley. The room was spacious. it is probably four times bigger than the usual Japanese rooms. The Onsen is perfect. Also, if you like gto take walk, the path to the Ena Valley next to the hotel is a MUST try.

    Autumn leaves

Found a last minute deal for a Friday night at this hotel overlooking Ena gorge at the peak of the autumn leaves season. Hotel offers a free shuttle from Ena station from 14.45 Staff were friendly but with limited English. Hotel has certainly seen better days and is in need of refurbishment...but the public baths on the 2nd floor were very nice and change at midnight so you get the chance to try all the baths if you wish to take a bath in the morning (6 - 9) Room (tatami) was large and there was a very old fridge and a hot water pot.The views of the gorge after the early morning mists had lifted were beautiful. Its possible to eat breakfast/dinner at the hotel...and thats the best idea as the closest places to eat are probably about 20 - 25 minutes on foot. The other option is to buy things before getting the shuttle...but the small convenience store at Ena station has a very limited selection and the Daily convenience store (come out of the station and turn right) is about 5 minutes walk away and again had limited supplies of hot foodstuffs...probably better to stock up before starting your journey if you dont go for the breakfast/dinner plans....or there s a Valor supermarket at the end of the street directly in front of you when you come out of Ena station but be aware that there s only 1 shuttle per hour. A great location in autumn...and great if you are looking for a long walk around the gorge (about 4 - 5 kms?!)

    Splendid traditional Japanese family hotel

Very enjoyable stay in this hotel just before the Coronavirus pandemic really got going. Comfortable rooms in traditional Japanese style with spectacular views over the nearby lake. Good onsen and pleasant food, but the highlight is the remarkably kind and efficient staff. They went to a great deal of trouble to accommodate my vegetarian family in the most charming manner and limited spoken English was no impediment to us all getting along very well. Highly recommended and great value for money.
