  Poor

  We reserved a room for 3 nights and discovered on our arrival that it was too far away from the village, because we didnt want to use our car for our journey. We wanted to cancel the resting 2 nights on our arrival, but the owner told us it was not possible. Although it says on their website Annulation of room after 1night possible!!! So nevertheless we had to pay 70 for another night we didnt even spent there. We found the situation embarrassing and kind of a rip off, since it was in high season and we were sure they could rent the room easily for the other nights!!! We paid our night and our fine disappointedly, and were astonished about the no reaction and inflexibility of the owners!!!!!

  Bello Hotel, Bella Vista, Bella Famiglia

  Visited Empire Resort in Clusane for 5 days mid July, as we fancied somewhere relaxing after spending the previous 10 days buzzing around the Ligurian Coast & Tuscan cities. Wow! What a great find. It's situated on a hill facing Lago d'Iseo, and the views are so beautiful they'll make you cry with joy. The Hotel is small, set in it's own grounds, with a fantastic terrace to watch the sun go down with an Aperol Spritz, and a beautiful (and quiet) swimming pool to laze away your sunny afternoon after a morning out and about. We paid a few Euros extra for a Lake view (Though mountain views are nice too), and as mentioned THE VIEW IS INCREDIBLE. The room was large with a huge patio door leading onto a private terrace overlooking the lake. The bathroom was a decent size with a superb shower with multiple jets including foot and shoulder settings. I couldn't wait to wake up every morning so I could watch the sun spreading over the mountains & towns across the lake, knowing I'd be watching it set that night with a cold glass in my hand and the warm air on my face. The family that own/run the hotel are wonderful. They're warm, friendly and tolerant of British people mangling their beautiful language. (Bevo FUORI, non Flori....) Annamaria and her brother are the kind of happy, friendly and helpful young people that make the world a better place, and make you smile each time you see them. They're a credit to Nadia and her husband, who never stop running around and catering to anything you need. All are an excellent source of advice and suggestions of things to do and places to go. A car is required to get the best out of Lago d'Iseo, Though you can walk from the Hotel to Clusane (about a mile) in an easy 20 minutes for restaurants, bars etc. Iseo & Sarnico are about a 10 minute drive (or hours walk) along the lake, and both offer lots of bars, shops restaurants, ferry & supermarkets. Bergamo, Verona, Parco Vivo Naturale, Brescia, Mantua and many many more, are under an hour's drive. Milan is 70 minutes away, but avoid rush hour between 7 & 9 when the ring road is a problem. All in all, a great time in a great location with great people.

  Stayed 4 days in august What is good View on south lake Generally quiet Rooms super clean and quite modern Friendly staff Good italian style breakfast Decent grounds Not so good On site parking only 4 spaces Tricky to access ( narrow) Pool is very small 3x 7 m and only 10 pool chairs Hotel gets afternoon sun head on and so is hot in the evening Some rooms have no view at all Decor is rather rustic The floors and walls resonate and you can hear 3d noise from surrounding rooms Shower cabin is 80 x80 cm so very tight for tall or wide people

  Fabulous hotel experience!

  My girlfriend and I spent two nights at this hotel and I can highly recommend it. The staff was very sweet and helpful, the rooms were clean and the view was amazing. The only thing i would change was, there was no refrigerator in the room we were in. It made it a bit difficult buying water and you couldnt buy simple food and such. The placement of the hotel I would say requires a car, because it is a bit remote and away from the main road on a mountain. Small things compared to the whole experience and not something that would keep me from coming back. Great place to spend a weekend or a few days for maximum relaxation.

  Advertised as 800 metres from the lake it was a 10 minute bus journey from iseo town then a 21 minute walk it's vertical climb when you get there they offer bb only there are no shops or restaurants near bye the room was tiny and smelly we arrived and checked straight back out they charged us 100 Euro the pool was tiny there was a German shepherd dod locked in a compound barking at us hardy what you want on holiday
