Did not meet up to what we expected !!!We stayed 5 nights Yes our room was big plus balcony over looking the river ...Great view and private .. Why we have marked it low ??? * WIFI was non existent ,when you could get logged on it was so slow and kept cutting off. * On day 3 we left our room at 10 am and returned at 8 pm to find the room had not been serviced EG bed not made . bins not emptied, no clean towels , bathroom not cleaned etc etc .. Rang front office who asked would we like new towels Well YES .. Bed sheets should be changed on day 3 BUT this never happened ... Emerald Hotel rooms do not offer any little extras ... If you wish at room with a view over the river be ready for a long walk from the one and only lift....plus to get to the car park can all so be a mission if your room is not on the same floor...YES at the time of check out we took the above up with staff... Not looking for any discount we were instantly refund 10 % of our account .... which was appreciated .... .

Nice hotel to stayWe had two nights here recently. I chose an mini executive suite with River view. Huge and spacious - much bigger than needed but I was disappointed that view was cv only if you stood up. I misunderstood and thought I had a balcony but no. Very clean and today. Would be B great to have basic things like toaster and plates for a Continental breakfast but these are not available as it is a hotel with a restaurant. Noting restaurant didnt appear open Sunday night so we went to Rivers, the local n pub, and that was excellent. Pool was FREEZING COLD. Spa pool area was freezing and only one jet worked. Only one elevator working (glass) which were found well into our stay. Overall - OK

I sooo need to grumbleSo I fully accept I travel on business and if you were here on hols. With kids youd probably think differently but..... we had a one bed apartment. Big. Old and plastered over. Ok bathroom but bad tv, poor internet crappy cleaning- sand in bed left most nights. King bed two singles that dont match. Pillows soggy and when I asked for firmer ones was told we dont have any. Everything too hard for them, really crap customer service. Just go elsewhere if business. Sorry. Used pool- v cold and wonder state of water!

Comfortable but noisyHave just stayed here. The room was huge but faced Gladstone Rd so, not being double glazed, was very noisy from the early hours. Suggest booking a room overlooking the pool. Breakfast was brilliant - best omelettes we have had!!
