    Disgraceful excuse for a hotel

The hotel looks pretty good from the outside but what lurks beneath is outrageous. 80 for air conditioning, was staying for 11 nights but had to pay for a full 14. They dont do 11 nights air conditioning but sell rooms for 11 nights! Room 209...the toilet was so close to the wall you could not sit on it properly. The toilet seat was totally worn out and held on with long screws. The bathroom was outdated and you were afraid to touch anything as it felt dirty. The beds were old fashioned wooden frames that were too short for me. My feet hung over the edge with the wooden frame digging into me making my feet numb. I had to sleep in a foetal position to get anywhere near comfortable. The door had a large gap underneath which allowed a great number of ants in the room. The kitchenette consisted of two crappy electric rings and nothing else. This was sold as self catering yet you could not cook a decent meal and even though you have a fridge you cannot take even water to the pool unless you buy it from them. On one day we came back to the hotel and had a bottle of water in our hands and got to the pool and was immediately challenged by a woman in reception telling us your not allowed to drink your own drinks. We were only holding them ! A short while later she came back for another go saying she had not seen us before, were we staying at the hotel? She was rude and had no idea how to treat customers. The hotel is On the main flight path for the airport and planes run almost 24 hours a day, the walls are so thin you can hear all the other guests too. A good nights sleep is impossible. My 2 year old was given a zed bed with a massive gap in the middle she sank into. On top of that her bed was positioned directly below a plug socket she could easily touch! We stayed for 4 nights out of the 11 and moved to a new hotel. When we left they refused to refund any of the air conditioning money we had paid. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone not even for a dog to stay in.

    Mixed reviews

I have very mixed reviews about this hotel. I would leave 5 stars to a mainly great staff ( a guy with glasses from the restaurant, sorry I do not know his name) is great ( lovely, hard-working and nice to have a chat with) so is a morning bartender and absolutely 5 stars to an amazing chef who cooks delicious homemade meals. Maria and a night-shift lady at the reception were also lovely. One more 5 star rating would go to the pools and pool area- amazingly clean and great so it makes days enjoyable. Now the bad part- One of the managers a male person was so smiley and welcoming on arrival saying "Your room is very nice"... it then sounded like a joke to me as our room was disgusting. Everything was old and outdated and poorly clean and full of ants. My disabled child was given a broken chair-bed to sleep which was so old and broken that you would not even give to a drunk friend who decided to crash at yours for the night. The room is called a studio but it is not, it is just a double room with an extra bed ( which is not even a bed) and a small table with 2 chairs. The air conditioner costs 40 euros a week and you can use it only when you are in a room, so if you went out and plan to come back to a cool room from a heat - forget it. Also the conditioner is located above the bed, so prepare to get cold and cough. Wifi was not existent in the room and I was told neither of rooms have it. I of course paid around 180 euros next morning just to upgrade a room and the room I was given later was much better room and hallelujah wifi was there too , but still - something you would expect from 3 star hotel, not above that. The worst and most disappointing facts were that I have paid 50 euros via TUI for late check out ( 6 pm) and then paid 35 euros on top of it just so we could stay in the room until 9 pm, which made it the full night price and we were refused a dinner at a restaurant last night even though we were on half board all week and had 4 dish choices every day to chose with no dessert but just few pieces of fruit and the same ice cream every day. Also after the first night when we moved to a different room I forgot my Radley watch in the room, and guess what- when I realised that I forgot it ( afternoon on the same day) cleaners said that they have not seen it which was clearly the case of them stealing it as they did not realise we have just moved rooms and not left the hotel. I am not accusing anyone but it is extremely upsetting, I hope the person who stole ( or should I say " found and kept") my watch is happy. Also housekeepers were not drying or changing their mop frequently and every time after their cleaning the room stunk. Also I know it is a new thing for everyone but most of the staff are wearing face masks under the nose or even on their chin ( facepalm), so please stay alert.

    Very nice hotel

Great pool area, nice sunchairs and a very good room nr 712. Big balcony with poolview. The refrigerator kept water, bottles and my cheese from home perfectly chilled. Dominiqe in the bar always friendly and with a big smile and the food was great. Cleaners also did a great job and was very friendly. Wifi worked perfectly.

    Surprisingly good

Holiday booked in a bit of a rush following a short notice cancellation. I was mortified when I read some of the reviews prior to travelling and very much relieved when I arrived to find a spotlessly clean room. Stayed in a studio on a s/c basis. Wouldnt dream of cooking on holiday so the equipment available was more than ample. Rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels every other day. Four clean pools and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Paid 80 euros extra for air con which is the norm for a fortnight. No issues with it, it worked well.. as did the WiFi which was free (not just in the bar but all around the hotel). Food was decent and reasonably priced. Drinks, less so - hence 4 stars rather than 5! As is standard for most hotels, they dont allow you to bring your own food and drinks around the pool. There were 5 of us however and at 2.70 euros for a can of pop or 1.00 for a bottle of water it soon added up. There arent however signs plastered around the pool about this as Id read on some reviews. I feel that some of the reviews I read are a little unfair. Im quite hard to please and found the hotel good value for what we paid. Staff were friendly and professional and were taking covid precautions. I had worried about the owner who was made out to be a bit of a witch. I never had any direct dealings with her though did see her around a bit - she seemed perfectly pleasant! They dont keep your passports or room keys and arent as possessive of the remotes as has also been suggested! The hotel is great If you like to be around a pool or are willing to drive. You see a decent amount of planes daily but 20-30 tops. They dont wake you up and you soon get used to them. The kids actually liked guessing the airline :-) The beach is beautiful but very pebbly and not really suitable for little ones. For a sandy beach youll need to travel to Faliraki, Rhodes town or Tsambika. Taxis are ridiculously expensive though there are buses. Didnt use them so cant comment! Rio rent a car is literally on the doorstep and very good value. Kremasti is nice though quiet and very Greek. There are a few decent restaurants and prices are reasonable. Its about a 15 min walk on okay- ish pavements. Trianda is about a 30 min walk away ( a bit scary at times as the pavements are pretty awful) You can find souvenir shops and a load of restaurants. Considerably more expensive than Kremasti however and a bit hit and miss on quality! It was a decent holiday on the whole. Found some little gems and had a good chilled time. Dont let the dodgy reviews put you off but be mindful that the area is not as touristy as you might like :-)

    Do not recommend

Did not enjoy stay. got to the hotel the night before our flight just wanted a place to sleep. Only after we paid they told us air conditioning is extra charge. Windows have no net- got mosquito bites all over and barely any sleep. Rooms dont smell great... I dont think its worth the price.
