  Set your expectations properly and its a good place to stay

  I stayed during the World Cup. There are not many hotels to choose from in Yekaterinbug. I stayed for 4 days. The reality is that it is an older I assume Soviet-era building with all of the quirks. But it is walking distance to city center and the stadium. The staff is great and speaks some English. Rooms come with a very good free breakfast, There is a bar in the lobby too. The rooms have some older but decent furniture, the showers work great but are kind of small. If you come in expecting the Waldorf you will be disappointed but if you want a decent centrally located friendly, affordable hotel this place is it.

  Very good location, value for money

  the title says it all. quality breakfast, helpful staff, very good location close to main square, good value for money. the room i got was like a small flat with two rooms, i recommend for couples and solo travelers.

  Average Hotel

  Plus points: *Helpful staff *elevator *Clean Minus: * Location could be better, a little closer to center. And entrance to the hotel is quite shady *Rooms were cold, receptionist brought a small heater but still somewhat uncomfortable at times especially after shower *It was claimed that the restaurant of the hotel is an Irish Pub as well. I couldn't see a trace of Irish touch inside

  Very nice hotel, close to everything. Great stuff and service. Breakfast is good, lot of varieties.Clean, comfortable

  Very nice hotel, close to centre - and quiet

  I stayed four nights at Emerald Hotel, in March 2019. From Wednesday to Sunday morning. My third trip to Ekaterinburg, strictly holiday. Arrived some minutes before twelve, I wasn't sure if it was too early for check-in - but obviously it wasn't any problem. The lady in the reception, whom I never got to learn the first name of (long dark hair) was very polite, friendly - and always with a smile. I got a room in 7th floor, big double room - bed, sofa, tv, refrigiator, water boiler. The bathroom had a shower cabinette, tooth brush, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, hair dryer. The breakfast was very good, also with a breakfast menu. I tried the omelette. Cold and warm food. The staff was helpful when I asked for help to call taxi. Sorry for my nagging... I couldn't get the Yandex.Taxi-app to work. I think the reason was I didn't have a russian phone number. Taxi is very cheap, and ordering a taxi online will provide how much it cost. Make sure to have small money bills. The driver will pretend he doesn't have any change for example a 1000 rubel bill, and you need to go to a shop etc to change. Too much hazzle. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from city centre. Exit the hotel, first to right and first to left - and you're in the Lenin street. There are two supermarkets about 500 meters from the hotel. Just cross the Lenin street, and continue on the . (Sakko and Vansetti). Shops are on the right hand side. If you want to buy some wines for your collection at home, go up the Lenin street and go right in the Moskovskaya street. Very nice shop, polite manager - it is called (Magnum). Of course, the shopping centre (vis a vis the Lenin statue)is a must, and the walking street (Vainera). The neighborhood is quiet, not much noice. I liked the hotel very much. I'll return next time I'm visiting the city.
