  Fusion Fall Classic 2020

  Great place! In town for soccer tourney. Rooms were very spacious. Each suite came with two TVs. Arranged a postgame dinner.. staff came through and provided a great hot and tasty meal. Only downside hotel was under renovation; reduced space to socialize and elevators were slow.

  Poorly managed property, unclean common areas

  Property itself is not horrible, rooms were clean and staff for the most part was pleasant to deal with. They didn't have the proper staff to maintain the property though. There was an issue in the pool which was not addressed right away and kept the pool closed for our entire stay, very disappointing. The stairway was leaking water from the roof which created a hazard having to navigate around buckets and trample through water to get down the stairs. Elevators are very slow, creating a backlog of guests waiting. A partially eaten take out dish was left in the stairway and remained there our entire stay, disgusting.

  Poor Rating is due solely to rude staff & poor COVID 19 policies.

  This is a beautiful hotel, even with the renovations going on. The only real inconvenience is the long wait times for an elevator as there are only 2 of 4 working. The real issue here though is the rude, unattentive and uncaring staff. There was no recognition of my diamond membership but that wasn't a big deal. The staff at the front desk were downright rude! They were more interested in taking every call that came in while they ignored the person standing right in front of them! The real issue here though is their COVID 19 protocol. Yes they have signs on the door notifying guest of a mask mandate yet the largest majority of guests didn't wear a mask in the public areas. While we were there there was a large number of what we believed to be hockey team members and their cheer squad. None of these people wore masks, even on the elevators. They were also out in FULL VOLUME at 5am the next morning. The sound carried up the atrium to the guest rooms making it almost impossible to not have our sleep disturbed. My grandchildren wanted to swim but we found out you needed have a reservation for the pool for social distancing purposes. They were allowed to go in, but the rest of the us weren't able to go in while they were in the pool as they had reached maximum capacity. Yet as we stood outside watching them swim thru the window, every time someone came to the door, someone already in the pool area would hop up and open the door from the inside for them. My grandchildren had to finally get out as the pool was so crowded they simply didn't feel safe. I blame all of this on the staff at the hotel. Is there no oversight to insure COVID protocols are being followed? I've stayed at a number of Hilton properties this year where I felt that my safety and the safety of my family was paramount. At this particular Hilton property however, they simply didn't care and we were 200% made to feel that!

  Run down

  The hotel is undergoing a renovation. This leaves the 1st floor/atrium off limits to everyone. The rooms themselves are in need of tlc as well. Although they look as though theyve been updated a tad, they lack cleanliness and appear rundown. Only 2 elevators worked on our stay and took awhile to reach the floors. Sadly not the usual Hilton standards.

  Below Standard

  The atrium is under renovation and that does not factor into my review. The room was just ok. The furniture is worn, the curved shower curtain rod was loose where it connects to the wall which caused it to sag and made it impossible to keep the shower curtain closed. The mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows offered no support. One of the main reasons I stay at Embassy is for the managers reception. Embassy Suites offer pretty much unlimited drinks during the reception, but not this one. Two drink tickets per adult. I dont know if this is per local regulations or just stingy management. The waitress for the managers reception was awesome, but she was the only waitstaff and she was the waitress for the restaurant at the same time. Thats too much for one person. Pool area was run down. Staff was ok, but prior to our stay I called the front desk to ask a couple questions, phone etiquette could be better. The nightly rate was reduced due to the remodeling, I assume, however this doesnt make up for the other shortcomings at this location.
