    not a good experience

    When we arrived, our key card would not let us in. Went to the front desk, given new card, could not get in. Called the front desk, told someone is on the way up. Waited 20 minutes. Then determined it was the key card reader and moved to another room. Never once did anyone apologize for wasting an hour of our time. Happy hour was terrible - one beer available and it was warm. No snacks. Went to take a hot shower after a long day - it takes 30 minutes for the warm to get barely warm. Breakfast was barely edible. Pancakes ice cold - told staff, nothing happened. The best part was checking out!

    Disappointed

    We had one chance to do an overnight getaway and we chose the property because they had an open pool and hot tub. Emily who normally works in catering was at the front desk and she was tremendously helpful. Helped me with the reservation, pre blocked the room and put in the necessary notes in the reservation. After we settled into the room we made our way down to the pool area. Walking across the pool area to the hot tub it was littered with trash at the tables and the wet towel bin was overflowing. We walked up to the hot tub and stood in complete disbelief. It was only about 3 ft deep or so but you could not see the bottom of it. It was disgusting and murky. There was a straw and a drink lid floating in it and there were more wet towels on the ground just past it. The one thing we were counting on and looking forward to was a disaster. We immediately went to the front desk to let them know and we were told Well nothing we can really do about it now. It closes in an hour anyway . No apologies. Nothing When we checked out the next morning I had asked if Emily was available to say hello and wanted tot elk the front desk about the problem from the night before. The ambivalence level was the same and we were not given an apology or explanation. Just handed Emilys business card and told to let her know. I have been a loyal Diamond member of Hilton Honors for a number of years now and this lack of customer service is really surprising. I am not sure why its this way here but it is not acceptable.

    Will not be staying here again

    I tried really hard to like this hotel. Its in a good location and theres a Chevron across the street, which is convenient. I love an omelet in the morning, an Embassy hallmark, and one of the gals (I think her name is Sheena) who makes them in front of you is very friendly and provides great customer service. The rooms are also spacious and well-suited for an extended stay, albeit some of the furnishings are a bit tired. Having said all that, this hotel often hosts big groups such as bible groups from four university campuses one week, groups of wrestlers for a tournament another week, etc. These are invincible younger folks to the exact demographic unlikely to wear masks or maintain social distancing. I saw many groups during may stay wander all around the hotel common areas without facial coverings and the staff just doesnt seem to care. Also, the same youngsters were running around the halls at all hours even as late as 1 a.m. being very loud. At one point, I heard sounds coming from a nearby room (couldnt tell if it was below, above or on the same floor as me) that sounded like someone was being tossed around and furniture destroyed. I called the front desk one night and the guest service person wasnt very helpful. I will not be staying at this hotel again, which pains me because it has such an awesome common area and a nice bar with good food.

    Nice property, close to food and shopping

    Well managed and close to many options for shopping, food and entertainment. All staff members observed and enforced Covid precautions on low and high guest volume days. Managers reception. Restaurant closed for lunch/dinner but, open w/moderately reduced options for breakfast. The breakfast service was well managed, very organized and COVID precautions were taken and enforced. Ok for small pets with prior management approval and pet deposit. Clean rooms, felt very safe. Mr. Colley the front desk manager is very knowledgeable, highly visible and address guest concerns quickly and efficiently. Kudos to the staff and management.

    Disrespectful Service in the Bar

    As a whole my experience at this property was great, however, the service on Sunday evening, Feb 21 in the bar was unprofessional and disrespectful to say the least. Out of convenience I decided to dine in as I learned the hotel kitchen was open and dining in the bar was being allowed. I placed my order and paid at the bar and the food came out hot, freshly prepared and definitely to my satisfaction, however, the delivery not so much. I had seat myself at a high top in the middle seat which would place me 2 - 21/2 feet from the end of the table. When the bartender delivered my food, he flung it in my direction and called out the order without even stopping. I find this behavior highly unprofessional and disrespectful. The following morning I received a text message from the hotel sales staff regarding my stay up to that point. I made it a point of sharing my experience and was advised they would forward my experience to the hotel manager. I never heard from the manager so I can only believe it was either not shared or not taken serious. Either way there is no justification for anyone to throw food to a guest as opposed to professionally delivering the food. I will never stay at that property again.
