Even a a reasonable rate; the worst Embassy Suites experience ever...I spend 100+ nights per year at all levels/brands of Hilton. Additionally I've continued to travel during the pandemic and totally understand the changes and challenges to the hospitality industry. I'm not high maintenance and very familiar with Embassy Suites. The lady that checked me in was very friendly/professional. Identified me as Diamond, got my waters/snacks and upgraded me. However the lady manning the hot food portion at breakfast was lazy and rude. Now for the bad: Front revolving door never worked the two days I was there. Public areas are dated, dark and with visible wear everywhere. Elevators just as old and very beat up. My room was: Oddly configured, missing an ottoman, all lamp shades cracked/stained, fridge in living room; not the wet bar area, boardroom chairs all ripped & stained, curtains with dark stains; possible black mold, small TV in living room with large TV in bedroom & missing the remote, strange 2nd vanity in bedroom with no towels, bathroom door could not clear the toilet, surfaces were dusty, bed was squeaky, linens & pillows of sub standard quality. Upgraded WiFi on the 8th floor was weak. Made it difficult for basic/non video based software to run on my laptop... At check-out was not asked about my stay or thanked Regardless of a reasonable price, would not recommend this property. Management and/or ownership should be embarrassed how run down it is...

Dont Stay HereNormally I check reviews but I have never had a bad experience at an Embassy Suites... until now. Motel 6 probably would have been cleaner and more comfortable. As others have said, rooms are dirty, carpet filthy and full of holes, furnishings dated, and the bed just plain sucks. I cant believe this is a Hilton property. Do they not do corporate inspections? Elevator was dirty, especially all the glass. USB plug in living room broken. Bathroom sink cracked. Phones look like they are 30 years old. HVAC temp control doesnt work right. The advertised social hour doesnt exist( website said it may be reduced service, but there isnt one at all) Revolving door doesnt work. And absolutely nothing in the rooms giving you info about the breakfast or the non existent social hour. Disappointed, to say the least. Embassy Suites, I expected MUCH better. Clearly management here is completely inept.

Do not recommend. RUUUNNNNNNNWe are in Birmingham for a soccer tournament. Our team had trouble booking at the negotiated rate. The booking agent advised me to book at the regular rate and get it fixed later. Glad I didnt. THE GOOD: The room was a decent size and the window opens to allow for fresh air. There are three sinks which is helpful with a family of four. THE BAD: Hardly any customers were wearing masks in the common areas. The room was FILTHY. Thank goodness we bring cleaning supplies and cleaned the room ourselves. All of the vents had thick layers of dust. There was a strong marijuana smell from the rear entrance. Hair from a previous guest was liberally distributed throughout the room. The carpet is ripped in several places. We asked for additional towels and never got them. The sofa bed was FILTY with unknown stains, confetti from a previous guest , no sheets and a half eaten KitKat mini. A previous guest must have thrown a birthday party in the room because they never cleaned up the decorations. There was a cleaned sticker on the door, but I need clarification on their definition of cleaned. There isnt enough lighting in the room, every area is dark. Last but certainly not least there was a dead bug on our bed. Room 210

Do not stay thereMy husband and I spent our 15th anniversary weekend here. We have stayed here many times but I dont recall the place being horrible like this. The toilet seat was broken. Im sure house keeping knew that after cleaning and didnt report it. The toilet basically sits on the floor. The room was dusty. Broken doors on the furniture. filthy carpet. The food, that we know most people go to the Embassy for, was awful. There was no Netflix, pay per view, or any other form of streaming. You could not mirror the tv from your device either. I guess you can say the place need some serious updates. I was so disappointed. Embassy is my hotel of choice, never again at this one.

Just okStayed here for one night on a cross country trip. The no mask convention must have been in town as there were TONS of other guests from child to adult running freely about the hotel maskless. We also saw some hotel staff not wearing masks which was very alarming and made us really uncomfortable so we didnt leave our room again until morning. The room was fine, with a few issues - the bathroom door didnt lock properly, no extra towels or blankets, and the fridge cooled unevenly so some of our things were frozen and some were melted the next day. The hotel also allowed pets, but there were no special amenities and no pickup stations that we could find on property so there was a lot of dog waste around. Overall I dont know that I would stay here again but it was fine enough for one night.
