  Backpack Northumbria

  I was backpacking Northumbria from Edinburgh to Newcastle down the entire coast 6 days into my walk I had now reached South Shield my legs and feet were on the hurt and a soft bed was sounding real nice. Im so happy i chose Elmswood what a great location and 2 blocks from my road on the coast. what a beautiful house ,cleanest cutest little room and warm shower. I loved this cute place. Great pubs and restaurants across the street and within a 3blk walking radius. Great location!!! Cheers!

  Great place to stay

  Our stay here was excellent from the price, the welcome, the room and the breakfast. The hosts were friendly, couldnt do enough for you and very helpful giving us suggestions of places to visit. Even before arrival we had excellent communication from hosts, we arrived and found it to be centrally located within easy walking distance of the sea front. Lots to do and see in the area. The room we stayed in was excellent from the top quality bedding/towels to the cleanliness, decor and comfort of the room. Breakfast was excellent value for money, good quality and it set us up for days out. We will definitely be back.

  Elmswood Guest House

  Very Clean room & En-suite, very Welcoming and friendly staff you feel right at home here, the breakfasts are just yummy youll never want to leave. WiFi connection excellent so youll never miss anything or anyone. Staff have good knowledge of the area and for places to eat out even if your on a budget. So enjoy your stay at Elmswood Guest House as I did had a fantastic time.

  Great location, good value

  Located close to the sea front and the town center, offers comfortable rooms and a friendly welcome by the owner. They are implementing a number of anti-Covid measures at the moment which made us feel safe at all times. Would definitely recommend

  Excellent

  We stayed over lockdown so unfortunately we were not able to meet the owners but we still had a detailed message from them on how to get in and a number to call if we had any issue and then upon entering the room a handwritten note explaining the situation. About 30 minutes after we arrived we received a phone call from Kris who asked if we were okay/needed anything/ any recommendations etc. Due to unforeseen circumstances we needed to book on an extra night. This was a breeze and no problem. Room was lovely and clean for a great price!!
