  Cuatro noches en Elmina Bay

  Llegamos un poco despistados, ya que anochecía cuando llegamos a la carretera de Elmina desde Kumasi. Encontrar señales visibles del hotel no es fácil, ayudaría mucho encontrar grandes carteles de indicación. Al final encontramos el camino, un camino de tierra que casi nos hace volver de no ser por que encontramos un pequeño cartel anunciando el hotel. Toda las malas sensaciones desaparecieron cuando llegamos a la recepción del Elmina Bay, su dueño y la chica de la recepción nos trataron con amabilidad y mucha profesionalidad. El lugar a primera vista nos pareció encantador. Al llegar a la habitación nos encanto la amplitud y la limpieza, la calidad de su cama y almohadas y el cuarto de baño. Despertar fue todo un placer, el sonido del mar es maravilloso, música para nuestros oídos. El desayuno frente al mar todo un placer para los sentidos y el lugar ideal para hacer incursiones por la costa. Elmina a un paseo por la orilla del mar, visitando y jugando con los niños y pescadores de la zona. El restaurante tiene una buena carta de pescados y mariscos y una gran carta de vinos a buen precio. Pasamos cuatro días maravillosos, algún día volveremos. Gracias a todos por vuestra acogida y vuestro trato amable.

  Fabulous!

  This resort is beautifully located on the edge of the Atlantic ocean, with unobscured views of the Elmina Castle/Dungeon. The owner and staff are wonderful and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure your comfort. The food at the restaurant is freshly made, delicious, and every table in the restaurant has an ocean view. We stayed in a family suite/family room which was very large with two adjoining bedrooms and two bathrooms. The room was clean, well air-conditioned, with easy access to the pool.

  Warm Hospitality, Beautiful Environment, Clean and Tidy Resort Facilities

  The Elmina Bay Resort has excellent hospitality. On 06.11.2019, we came to the resort late in the evening but the manager Mr. Ben and Madam warmly greet us and help us to check in. Next morning, I saw the staff start to clean the swimming pool about 4:30am in the morning. Then, we enjoy the excellent breakfast in the restaurant next to the beach. The waitress Ms Christabel is very nice and patient to serve us. Later on I went to the reception and the manager took photos for me and show me some pic of the Elmina Castle and the fishing village. From Gardner, waitress to manager etc. Every staff always wear a smile on their face and this make the guest very comfortable in such a beautiful beach resort. This is my first impression to Elmina, nice people in the resort, beautiful beach, clean and tidy resort facilities. I will definitely come again next time I visit Elmina.   Lovely stay by the ocean in Elmina

  We arrived dusty, tired, and world weary from Kumasi. From other experiences in our stay I was skeptical that the location would be good. I was wrong it was great! We were greeted by Mr. Kweku who runs the operation. He quickly checked us in, answered some questions about getting around, visiting the national forest, and returning to Accra, and then insisted that we relax. We were shown to our room by the excellent Mr. Henry and Ms. Vivian, both of whom kindly showed us around and ensured we were taken care of throughout our visit. The room isnt a room at the ritz. Let me confirm what some other reviews its hot and the AC can take a bit to cool the room down. But on the positive side, the water pressure is great (and hot) and the bed is comfortable enough. The pool is lovely, if a bit warm, and provides and amazing view of the crashing ocean waves, sunrises, and sunsets. The restaurant provides a mix of western and African food which we really enjoyed! If you are visiting Africa and having trouble finding local dishes wed recommend checking this place out even if youre just visiting. The lodge arranged drivers for us to the National Park and back to Accra at a reasonable price, and helped us get taxis into the city to visit the castles. Overall an excellent stay!

  Clean, and lovely setting

  Spent two nights at this hotel. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the setting lovely among the coconut trees and overlooking the ocean. Only problem with our room was malfunctioning sliding doors that made it impossible to open the balcony doors to enjoy the breeze and sounds of the ocean from our upstairs room. Breakfast is included in the room rate, not a buffet, but adequate and consists of eggs to your taste, toast, fruit, and beverage. Dinners were delicious, prepared fresh so expect a lengthy wait for it.
