  Great location and nice rooms

  Overall Elliott House Inn is a nice place to stay. Very limited offerings right now due to Covid. The rooms are clean, comfortable beds and really a great location, a half block from King Street. Friendly check-in. Husk is literally next door!

  First timer in Charleston!

  I enjoyed my stay, but the Wifi and water pressure in the rooms were not great. That wasn't a deal breaker for me, since I was gone most of the time during the days. The rooms were cute and comfortable, great for a solo traveler for the week. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

  Nice, modest inn

  We stayed here for one night as we live relatively close by. The inn's room quality is quite nice. I enjoyed the ability to make it pretty dark. Good shower pressure and soaps. Would've liked more than 1 towel / pp (for my girlfriend). Getting room 10 (or the one above it) would be a non-starter for me as in I would make sure to confirm with the Inn that you're not in either. They sit right on Queen and trash trucks picking up from the restaurants at 430AM don't care if you're trying to sleep. Despite the poor sleep I will say that controlling the ambient light and mattress were both a +.

  Nice modest inn

  We went for a wedding in Charleston and this was recommended by a friend. Our room was clean and inviting, however our neighbor stayed up talking till 3 am and the adjoining door provided little to no sound attenuation. The bathroom door sagged making it hard to close and the light switches to the bathroom were on an outside wall, so to turn on the light you had to do so outside the bathroom likely waking your spouse. Shower was nice. Wife would very much have liked to have a coffee machine in the room for comfort, instead of having to go to the courtyard to the communal urn. Pricing was reasonable given central Charleston location. Staff were all extremely nice and helpful. Would I stay again...unfortunately not as would want more quiet, room amenities and points with other properties.

  In the Center of it all

  This old hotel is a great location for eating at some destination restaurants and walking the historic section of the city. Location, location, location. That said, be aware that it is an older hotel and has some of the quirks that entails...sometimes running out of hot water, street noise from restaurant trash can movement, and individual noisy a/c units. That said, its a fun place with nice staff, a lovely courtyard, and a safe parking garage right across the street. Be sure to make reservations to eat at HUSK while you are there and take a short walk to Carmellas for dessert.
