    Friendly staff

We arrived at 11:30pm and were greeted by a friendly front desk clerk. Lots of Covid precautions and felt quite comfortable in that regards. I like that the windows were pretty sound proof and had been added behind the originals to protect the integrity of the originals. Room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had heated floors which was nice. They offer a grab and go breakfast which we did not take. Right around the corner is the Rusty Cup coffee shop where Kristy will make you the best coffee drink ever! The only negative was it did have a slight older odor.

    Pleasing to the eye

Astoria is a Historic town and this hotel represents it perfectly. Its like traveling back in time, respectfully. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Everything in my experience was of great quality from the view to the sheets. The location is ideal for eating and drinking, right in the center of town. It is walking distance to the Riverwalk and Fort George Brewery. They have an awesome basement with a pool table. The roof top was awesome at night, and the tub we had in our room gave us the "hot tub" we wanted while also able to look out the window. The higher price was truly worth it.

    Hotel Elliot

Kat and her hotel staff did a wonderful job of welcoming us to Astoria The hotel is centrally located and with walking distance to central Astoria. The roof deck has a wonderful, stunning view of the river

    Great hotel

We always have a wonderful time staying at this hotel. Its a clean and beautiful old hotel. Were happy to see that they are keeping guests safe by following Covid guidelines. Kat at the front desk is very professional and friendly. Well definitely be back.

Absolutely Horrible Hosts and Mediocre Hotel

**UPDATE** The Elliott Hotel "owner" who responded to this review clearly has no integrity and has posted lies instead of apologies. This hotel continues to demonstrate a lack of class and respect for their guests. No one should pay hundreds of dollars for a night for this level of disrespect and indifference. The elevator is/was broke and they are absolutely incredibly rude about it. I phoned for a simple request to take a small breakfast order over the phone, so I can walkdown and pick it up in one trip, instead of walking up and down like I have been doing the entire stay. They could have said "I am sorry, we are real busy at the moment", but clearly they are not interested in treating guests with respect or even minimal courtesy. "You need to walk it down here, what do you expect?!?" For the price, I would expect courtesy. She seriously slammed the phone down and hung up on me. I tried calling back to talk to the manager, but they refused to answer the room phone. I called from my cell phone and another person answered and I asked him if he was the manager or if I could speak with her/him about the rude woman answering phones. He was equally abrasive and said "No one forced you to stay here!" Astoria is an amazing place and the hotel itself is not horrible, just old and overpriced, especially when the elevator is broke and the people treat you like orphans. These people clearly are doing so well and do not care if guests return or not. My reviews are genuine, my wife was right there while I was on the phone, and there is absolutely no honesty posted by the 'owner' or manager who was not even there when I asked to speak to them
