    Rooms are outdated but spacious

Great place if you are on a tight budget or travelling between 2 cities. The room was outdated and the cleanliness of the carpet was doubtful but the bathroom was spacious, modern and spotless. Free parking is a nice to have, so is the breakfast (but its not the top quality products). The employees are friendly and helpful, but they dont speak a lot of English though.

    No hotel but a B&B

We stayed here due to the location near the Motogp back in July. This is not a hotel but a guest house, it is sitatuated in not a particular nice part of Chemnitz on the corner on a main busy noisey road, which is quite noisy if your room is overlooking the road. Great if your on a business trip or want a cheap and cheerful place to stay. The rooms are clean and tidy and there was a mini bar in the room and the bathroom was spotless. None of the rooms have a double bed, so take that into account if your wanting a romantic night or two, but I would not recommend this place for that sort of break, (no room service). The breakfast was lovely, typical continental, a nice selection of breads, hams and cheeses, boiled eggs, fruit yogurt and the owners were very pleasant and enjoyed making sure there guest had plenty of coffee and food. It is decorated very typical of a German house, but it would appear very old fashioned. Free parking is outside the property and about a 5 minute walk is a nice little square full of restaraunts.

What you pay is what you get

The location is good (you can easily walk to the city center), and the rooms are spacious and the bathroom recently re-decorated. But the rooms are quite outdated with a vivid 80's look, and the breakfast is not particular impressing. For some reason the internet was turned of by 11, which was somewhat annoying. As the price is quite reasonably, these flaws can easily be overlooked, especially if you are planning a transit stay or a short trip in the Chemnitz area.

    Good location, large clean rooms.

When we entered our room we wondered if there'd been a mistake with the booking as the it was almost as big as an apartment, but no this is what you get for very little money here in Chemnitz. The wifi wasn't working when we arrived but was soon fixed and worked fine for us most of the time. The breakfast room was a bit weird as for some bizarre reason the TV was tuned into a reality German cop show with people getting busted by overweight German coppers.....Not what I want to watch in the morning over my coffee and croissants to be honest. The city itself is a bit odd as it's undergoing a transformation of building so there are lovely buildings next to derelict ones. The city park is just around the corner too and is quite pretty. If you want a really, really good restaurant just around the corner is the Shalom Restaurant in Heinrich Zille-Strasse 15 , 09111 Chemnitz. http://www.schalom-chemnitz.de Simply the best meal we had in our holiday travelling around Europe & one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Don't miss out. In summary this is quite an odd place BUT it's very, very good value.

    Just that...

I stayed for just a night. Might want to check the towels first and make sure you do not get a room facing main street, since they do not have AC in the rooms you want to sleep with the windows open and that's it...good bye sleep. Shower was good. Minibar with quite a few good options. There is a Lidl supermarket just around the corner. Public transport right in front the hotel. My stay was ok...but one night...no more....
