  Unbelievable carvery

  We have not had the opportunity to stay at the hotel as we are on our summer holiday in Cornwall. We searched for carveries in the area and came across this hotel. I booked to reserve and the female who answered the telephone was excellent. Extremely polite and helpful. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a very large car park at the rear. However, the best was yet to come. I can honestly say the carvery we had was one of the nicest EVER and the staff were simply delightful. Nothing was too much trouble and the level of customer service with other diners was first class. If you want to have a carvery in the area off Liskeard there is just no point looking anywhere else. Stunning food.

  Comfortable, clean, friendly

  The bedroom had the essentials. Comfortable bed, clean and warm. Parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is conveniently situated close to the A38, and a good place to stay for exploring central Cornwall.

  Clean and COVID ready!

  Thank you to Derek who helped us in our time of need and was able to provide us a room for three nights in August after a mix up at the hotel we had booked. Room was great and had everything we needed. The breakfast was really nice with the added bonus that you could have whatever you liked rather than it being a strict set menu. This really set us up for the day of sightseeing around Cornwall. The hotel is very clean and has hand sanitiser and wipes everywhere for when you need it and the staff wore visors and masks so we felt very safe. The hotel is in a great location for many beautiful areas of Cornwall which you may like to visit and has a big car park at the rear. Thanks again for being so accommodating!

  A nice place to stay

  Had a nice stay in this hotel Tuesday to Sunday. Staff very friendly. food good. Would stay again. owner derek was most helpfull on arrival.. stayed in rm 1 which i spotless,lots of linen,lots of tea,milk etc for whole stay..breakfast was really tasty,with lots of choices...bar service was excellent and these staff deserve special praise

  Break away

  Cnt recomend this place enough We booked here at very last min an i couldnt be more happy. The staff are lovely an very accomodating. Derek the owner is a lovely guy an did a fab breakfast each morning nothing too much trouble for him. I enjoyed chatting with him in bar area on an evening. Really looking forward to going back in new year.
