Excellent location and good value for money.

I stayed in a twin room at Elenis Village in August. As other reviewers have said, the rooms are basic, but offer everything you need. My friend and I were doing this holiday on a budget, and found this place really good value for money. Our room had a lovely little balcony with a superb view of the hills and the sea. We paid 40 for the Air Con as it was very warm at night! The apartments have a really lovely swimming pool with a gorgeous view. We had breakfast a couple of times in the little bar which was nice and convenient. Super location- a ten minute walk down to Achladies beach-either down a very steep hill or down a set of steps (that we preferred!) that bring you out next to the Paradise Taverna. The steps up to the apartments are uneven and steep, but you soon get used to them and we found it added to the charm of this place (and we felt that we had earned all of the good food and wine we consumed!) There is a water taxi from the beach that takes you to Skiathos Town, or you can get the bus from Bus Stop 9 which is at the bottom off the steps. The buses get very very busy so be prepared for them to drive straight past you or for a very squished bus journey! Fortunately it is only a short journey to town. A taxi was around 9/10, and the advantage of the taxi is that it takes you right up to the apartments, so need to navigate the steps. Lots of restaurants nearby-our favourites were Paradise on the beach (really recommend the Greek Night on Mondays, but you do need to book!), and Rose Garden. Both reasonably priced with some absolutely wonderful food on offer.

Just got back from 10 day stay at Eleni village which was very enjoyable. We had room 17 which had a brilliant view onof the sea. The rooms are basic but very clean and we benefitted from the covid situation in that there were only a few people round the pool due to under occupancy . The downside of this was the bar used to shut at 8.00 pm which wasn't really a problem , you used to have to find somewhere else to drink. Food was available throughout the day and was really nice and reasonably priced. English breakfast for 7 euros which included fresh orange , and either tea or coffee , toast and jam . 8 or 9 euros in to skiathos town or a 35 minute walk which we did on 5 or 6 occasions, always got a taxi home though. Pool was lovely and a nice temperature, not overly large though. Would not recommend for elderly people that weren't very able due to the hilly area. Hired a quad for 4 days (100 Euros) which was brilliant,. Costa who owns the place is a really nice guy who goes beyond the call of duty to clean the sunbeds with cleanser after people clean them,. Met some lovely couples at the apartments so would highly recommend

    Beautiful

Stayed 9 nights at these beautiful apartments. Room was spotless, the cleaner came in every 2/3 days and cleaned the room immaculately. You can request at the bar if you require your room and bed to be changed everyday. We had room 7 which was on the 2nd floor, the views was amazing. The pool was cleaned everyday, they even cleaned all the sunbeds after each person had been on them. The hill and steps to these apartments are the only downside, we was ok with them but if you are unfit or disabled I wouldn't recommend unless you hire a car or a scooter. There is an indoor bar that offers breakfast and snacks throughout the day, the bar closes at 11pm everyday. My recommendation is on arrival get a taxi from the airport for 10 euros as the bus drops you off at bus stop 9 and you have to climb the steps to the apartments. You can buy bottled water from the bar which is quite useful if you don't want to walk down to the supermarket. We walked down to the supermarket and if you spend 20 euros he will deliver to your door. Perfect location for getting into town even though the bus service was very limited due to Covid, taxis charge between 8/10 euros each way. Highly recommend these apartments for a perfect relaxing holiday.

Lovely relaxing holiday in gorgeous location

On arrival we were greeted by the owner Costas and Demetrius who throughout our holiday were the perfect hosts. It was dark when we arrived and the next morning we were overwhelmed by the stunning view of the sea and the mountains covered in pine trees. Our room (17) was meticulously cleaned every third day. English Breakfast is cooked to perfection by Costas or Demetrius, more than you can eat. The pool is lovely and clean. Bus stop 9 at the bottom of the steps around every 15 minutes and taxis readily available. This is a lovely, friendly family run establishment and all in all we highly recommend the Eleni's Village. Just Lovely!

    Happy holiday!

Just sitting in the bar at Elenis on our last day. Time to reflect on a lovely week away and jot down a few thoughts. Before I do this though, we are aware that we are fortunate to have had this holiday, and we send our best wishes for next year to those not lucky enough to have a holiday in 2020. Right, Elenis Village is lovely, helped by the fact that we got a cracking early bird deal when we we booked in 2019. Its at bus stop 9 which is great for getting about the island - a 30 minute walk will get you to Skiathos town, or a short bus ride will take you to Koukanaries famous beach. We preferred our local Achlaides beach - very nice with a couple of pretty tavernas for lunchtime snacks. The easiest way to Achlaides beach is to follow the signs to Paradise Taverna down the steps. Elenis also do really nice snacks such as the usual Greek salad, omelette or chips - generous portions too! As mentioned previously, the pool is not huge but it is beautifully clean and hubby likes the fact it is very deep at one end. The pool area is nicely elevated so you have great views over the bay. If you want to eat locally in the evening, there is a nice restaurant up the lane directly above Elenis - forget the name but you cant miss it. For the more adventurous Elenis is quite near The Olive Thea restaurant, if you look up directly behind the apartments, you will see it on the skyline. We walked up to check it out one afternoon, took about 40 mins as the climb is quite steep. Dont panic though, if you book they will send a car to pick you up and bring you back. We had apartment 7 which is upstairs with a great view from both the front door, and the balcony. In summary these are nice apartments and were competitively priced when we booked via Jet2.
