Stay away, false advertising, and management that doesn't care.In this review you will see how this hotel follows false advertisement, doesn't care guests book the hotel on a budget due to advertised complimentary breakfast and social hours, and how the GM can care less about guests. To start we are from New York, and when we traveled we choose New Jersey because things were open to New Yorkers at this time. Due to the current COVID crisis my spouse and I needed a "safe" vacation, and we planned accordingly ahead of time. We thought this hotel would be the place to stay for this, and we were wrong. I wish we stayed at one of the many other hotels in the area instead. We choose to stay at this hotel due to their website stating free breakfast and "cocktail" hour. You can see pictures of the hotel's website offering these, and how the COVID statement doesn't state the changes. Upon check in we were given this "COVID" letter. As you can see the letter negates all the complimentary features, and talks of there being no pool, and specific house keeping procedures. All of which you can't find on their site. We stayed at a Marriott hotel a few weeks ago while visiting families, and that hotel had specifically stated what was no longer available. Thus, this hotel could put the changes on the website. People depend on these complimentary features when budgeting a vacation, and this hotel can care less!! So while there we emailed the general manager. The general manger has never responded. Upon arriving home I emailed corporate Marriott, who forwarded the complaint to the GM, and still nothing. Therefore, I'm waiting to see what corporate Marriott does to make this right. False advertising is illegal, and people book hotels on a budget, which include complimentary services like breakfast and cocktail hour. On top of this there was a door tag for 250 points a night to forgo housekeeping, and upon check out I was told this isn't valid due to COVID. Why was it in the room? Other guests had them out too. On top of this we choose the property due to it's smoke free policy. Our floor smelled of marijuana and cigarette smoke the whole time. Also, this hotel is housing homeless people, which is awesome. However, a soup kitchen or food bank was droping off a ton of food bags every night, which would sit out till the morning. This totally negates the letter we received. They're allowing food to be served to some guests, but not others. In the letter it states no breakfast or cocktail hour to protect guests from food contamination. Yet, they can have these bags of food sit out for hours spoiling for certain guests to take? This is the absolute worst hotel I've ever been to!! Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. Unless you enjoy false advertising, and a hotel that doesn't care about their guests.

Negligent managementMy wife and I arrived about 7 PM. The desk clerk was not wearing a face mask despite many signs - on the doors, in the lobby, in the elevators, etc. - saying masks are required. There was a party of at least 27 people in the lobby, none wearing masks. The person in line before us commented to the desk clerk about the party. So I did I. He didnt care and wasnt going to do anything about. The other hotel staff we saw this morning likewise werent wearing masks. Outside our room, wires were poking out of a hole in the wall where a doorbell presumably goes. In our room, the desk chair was broken, the blade case to a cooling knife was present but no knife in the kitchenette. Walls are thin so we hear other guests conversations. Management hear clearly doesnt care. Usually Westin/Marriott meet a high standard of care and management. This place is a mess. We wont go back when we next visit the area in a couple months.

My brother and I loved it!So my brother and I have been staying here for some time now. We love the atmosphere, all the staff, the rooms, the area etc. We will be coming back here on a staycation of course, we have been here waiting for our house to be finished. And it was one of the best decisions we ever made! We will advise any and everyone to come and stay. The rooms are beautiful and extremely clean, when and/or if we needed anything, management helped and was there to solve any problems. The air went out and they moved us right away, without any hesitation. So even with Covid 19 going on, The Element still makes sure that their customers are comfortable and happy. We have been here since May and we hate to leave, but our house is finally ready so it is a bittersweet day for us. Thank you again to the entire staff at The Element hotel.

I can't wait to come back!!So I came here to help get my children situated and to help take care of my oldest son who has been sick. From the very 1st day, my family and loved being here! The staff is the BEST and we are coming back to have as many staycations as possible! The rooms, the entire staff, restaurants in the area, atmosphere, and the amenities in the rooms are a true GODsend! As a chef I was absolutely pleased with the kitchen, the meals that I was making didn't suffer. You couldn't tell that I cooked 4 to 5-course meals with just 2 burners, oh but I did..lol. My children had their own room and they were loving it as well, they had an air conditioning problem and of course the Asst. General Manager kicked into gear and switched us to another room immediately!! Now they will put you out if you aren't following the Covid-19 guidelines that they do have in place so please wear your masks at all times. And please bring your family and/or sweetheart here even if it's just to get away for a few days or longer. I thank the entire staff again for everything!! You guys are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!! And my family and I have stayed at a lot of hotels for vacations and/or staycations and The Element is truly up there with ALL of the 4 to 5-star hotels around the globe. We can't wait to come back!! We have been here since May and now it's time to move on.

Element Hotel - extended stayMy family and I needed a quality property for an extended stay in the Ewing - Pennington area. All in all, we were there almost two months. The entire staff and team was the nicest I've ever experienced... and I travel frequently. Everyone, in every position was amazing. While amenities and services have been scaled back everywhere, the staff at the Element went out of there way to provide everything requested
