  recommended to families as well as to couples

  My wife and I visited these hotels in February 2017 for ski vacation together with another couple. Our order was for the Elegant Lux and as it has the same ownership we got rooms at the Elegant SPA. The two hotels apartments located one near the other in a good location close to the center and about 10 mints walk from the Gondola, The hotel supply free of charge convent transportation to Gondola all the morning in high frequently and back to the hotel from 16:30 to 17:00. We got a convenient apartment room with three bed rooms, two bathroom and kitchen. Our friends got one nice bedroom apartment. The heating system is very important and was very pleasant based on water system and radiators. The food was delicious and varied breakfast and dinners (from the Elegant SPA we had only at the evening to go for dinner to the Elegant Lux building) The Elegant SPA has a bigger SPA than the Elegant Lux The Elegant Lux has nice lobby with nice atmosphere and bar service (no bar in the building of the Elegant Lux so you may go to the nice bar and lobby of the Elegant Lux The staff is extremely nice and they try to support us for every request efficiently and with great courtesy. The manger of both apartment hotels Ms. Sophie has very good English and it was a pleasure to communicate with her and to get Quick response to any request. I recommend speaking with Ms. Sophie as not all the other staff has so good English. Despite all of the written above, it is hotel in a Village in Bulgaria so do not expect the level of Hilton in the Time Square, Those two hotels apartments are good compared other kinds of rooms in Bulgaria but by far not in the level of 4 star hotel in New York...

  Great hotel

  We were in Bansko in Elegant Lux hotel on our ski holiday. Hotel is in a great location, about 10 min walk to the gondola and if you don't want to walk, there was a shuttle every 15 minutes to the gondola. Hotel is about 5 min walk to the main street, where are many bars and restaurants We had spacious apartment on the 4th floor, with living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, great mountain view, and two terraces. Breakfast and dinner were good and various. SPA is not so big, but it is ok. It has sauna and small pool. The staff are polite and helpful. We enjoyed and we would come again. The only thing which i did not like was the unpaved road to the hotel. It was not pleasant to walk on the muddy path, and I hope that soon it will be solved.

  Great skiing and atmosphere

  I recently visited Bansko with my wife and 2 young children for a weeks skiing holiday and stayed at the Elegant Spa Hotel, the staff were ever so friendly and helpful and helped us with all our needs. The opportunity to go for a swim in the evening with the kids after a tough days skiing was brilliant and the restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner on a couple of occasions was excellent as were the restaurants in Bansko itself. The whole stay and trip represented excellent value for money compared to the prices that you pay at other European resorts.

  Wouldn't recommend if you are searching for something elegant

  I visited Bansko with a group of students. The hotel location is good, it's a 10 min walk to the gondola, and it's close to all the restaurants, shops and bars. The apartment was poorly equipped and in a really bad shape. The wardrobe doors were broken, half the knobs were missing, the couch was broken and missing a pillow. There was a bunch of broken and missing things. It was a room for 4 people and there were only 2 chairs, 3 plates, 2 metal and 2 plastic forks and so own. The kitchen was missing half of the things. We didn't have proper cutlery and we had to borrow pots from different room. The good thing was the shuttle ski bus which would take you directly to the gondola in the morning and back in the afternoon after you are done skiing. About the stuff: the cleaning ladies were really nice and friendly. They would take out the garbage, clean our rooms, wash the dishes and similar. But the receptionist guys were awful. They were acting like they really don't care. We reported them all the problems with the room, every day they would say someone is going to come and fix it tomorrow (nothing was fixed). You can't ask a simple question about post office or ski bus, they just say they don't know and they don't even try to help. The spa part was nothing special. It is not big, but it should be cleaned and maintained better. The tiles were falling off from the pool and the walls and all together it seamed outdated and a bit dirty. Final impression: maybe a couple years ago this hotel was great, but now it is outdated, needs a lot of work and maintanence, and a change of stuff. It's okay if you don't mind these things, but if you are searching for something more luxurious and elegant skip this hotel.

  Ski break

  Had a great time, convenient for a lot of restaurants and within easy walking distance from the main ski lift. Apartment clean and had good facilities. We were fortunate that there was enough snow to be able to ski back to the village. Would definitely visit again.
