  Pretty poor

  Started off like a normal low star rated hotel. No one at reception at 7pm to sign in. Then I gradually went down. A broken window in the room across from the reception is one of the first things you see. We go to our rooms and are greeted by stick insects. The rooms are dated and showing signs of its age. The A/C is struggling to cool down the room. The bed is comfortable, a plus! The bathroom is old and serious work needs to be done. The tiles have been painted and that is flaking away, some tiles have been replaced in a very rough manor. No tradies here.. In another room the water has been flowing for 3 days, not just a drip, but the flow you would use to wash your hands, When turning on the lights, be aware of the other pets we have found here. Cockroaches the size of small dogs, that we let out occasionally for them to do their business. My bin was emptied once in a week and the floors not swept or vacuumed once.. Remove all valuables from your car overnight, there is a problem here. The pool is empty and the BBQ facilities unusable. Keep your expectations low All in all, it was a bed after work. I look forward to the next hotel.

  Overpriced

  This sad,sorry,rundown motel is way overpriced. The good things about the place are: the fridge kept my beer cold, I could watch the footy on TV and my car wasn't broken into. Unfortunately the bad things far outweigh the good. I booked in for 2 nights but couldn't stand another night in a smelly, ant infested, dilapidated room. Honestly do not bother.This is the cheap, nasty motel you read about in novels or see in the film's,without the cheap and nasty price.

  Good for an overnighter. Appreciate the pet friendliness

  We stopped here overnight. The reception was quick and friendly. We really appreciated that they were pet friendly. The room furniture looks nice, although the bathroom was a little tired and not particularly clean. This detail in particular cost it a star from me. The swimming pool was empty during our stay. Yeah it's not the Hilton but it was good for an overnighter and I would have given it four stars if the room been just a tad cleaner on arrival. Most grateful for pet friendliness.

  Beyond terrible.

  This place looks rundown, dilapidated and abandoned. We should have kept driving. Firstly, we were placed in a room far away from any other guests, without any extra lighting apart from a dim porch light. The security lock in our room was broken. By 7pm we were feeling very uncomfortable leaving our car parked out the front of our room due to passing groups of people. As per owner's suggestion, we removed all personal items from our car. The police drove into the complex about the same time and we decided to leave all lights on for extra security. We witnessed vehicles drive into the complex and past our room. At midnight my partner interrupted a young someone at the driver's side window of our vehicle. This person promptly ran away when confronted. At this stage we packed our car and left Tennant Creek. Previous trip advisor comments from the owners suggested extra security and patrols, including cameras and guard dogs. There was no evidence. Owner suggests there are many positives to staying at this motel but none of these outweigh the lack of security and safety we felt during our stay.

  Empty Pool, Dirty Plates and Filthy Shower

  Ok, I know this is Tennant Creek, but that's no excuse for sloppy housekeeping. Our room ($136 for the night) was filthy. The shower was dirtier than I would say is acceptable for an establishment of this type. You'd normally allow for some kind of signs of use - I'm not looking for showroom, just not filthy. The broken coffee cup (handle cracked off) was indicative of a CBF attitude towards maintenance. Oh, and the dirty plates and cutlery tucked up in the top of the wardrobe were a delightful touch. The pool was empty and all common areas overgrown and not maintained. I've had better in developing countries where resources are limited and times are tough. What's your excuse Eldorado Management? All up, this was worse than a joke.
