Recommend Hotel..A very good hotel, nearby by Harram, good rooms, around 30m. But a bit old fashion. Reception is okay, but they need some training to be welcoming and cheerful. House keeping service is really good. A lot of shops are around

It isnt badI must say at first that the location is impeccable. You go out the door and cross the street, walk like 30 seconds and you are already at the Masjidh. The problems I have though are how outdated everything is when you go past the reception and into rooms or the restaurant. Old carpets, old furniture, stains in the bathrooms, and overall very old feel. People are pretty nice and are very helpful. I would definitely stay here again for the price and location.

UmraThis hotel is very dated. Nice reception area. Rooms are fairly large as we had the quad rooms. The rooms are dated with chipped furniture. The carpets are old and smell damp. Odour was not pleasant. Had to leave the door open for the smell to escape. Comfy beds with nice white bedding. Helpful housekeeping and concierge. Reception staff ok but could do with better customer service training. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Less than 1 minute walk to masjid nabvi. Plenty of shops and restaurants around this hotel

First and Last stay at Elaf Taiba - A miserable experience overallIn my past experience, while booking a hotel in Madinah, one should not keep high expectations in terms of services level. Unlike other places in KSA or GCC region, hotels in Madinah generally do not follow strict protocol of service for customers staying with them. This covers various areas including room hygiene, space, food quality, structure, housekeeping etc. These personal views are based on staying in various international and local hotels of the city in the past several years However Elaf Taiba exceeded all my worst fears in terms of poor service, bad hygiene level (esp in COVID times), miscommitments, untidiness, rude atttude and various other aspects. Expecting this kind of service level from an Elaf group hotel was shocking to say the least as I have stayed in other Elaf properties in the past too One day before my arrival at the hotel, I got three calls from the hotel confirming my stay / time of arrival. In all these calls, I requested only thing: a car parking facility at the hotel. I was informed that I will be charged SR 41 per day to which I agreed as parking in Madinah could be a pain After driving for 8 hours to reach the place with my family, I was rudely informed by the reception that there is no parking space available parking levels are closed due to maintenance work. I asked whether this was not known a day before when I received a call from your duty manager at 9.30 pm at night. Is this a sudden development? No answer I had to walk to roam around for half an hour to find the public parking and then had to walk for a kilometer to reach back to the hotel. In the meanwhile, I sent my family inside the room in hurry while had to carry back some bags/luggage which were forgotten at the hotel entrance due to all the hassel. Long List of negatives (-) Reception staff not able to speak English (-) Poor outlook of hotel with worn out lifts, corridors, furniture and upholstery (-) Smelly carpets inside my room with patches and spots (of vomit, spilled food or drinks) (-) Untidy washrooms with blackened tiles and dirt inside them (-) No COVID measures being followed as customers are being provided uncleaned blankets, sheets and pillows (-) Broken furniture inside the room. Had to keep children away from sitting on chairs due to safety hazard (-) Doors of the cabinet and the washrooms were worn out with polish chipping off and cracks being seen (-) Inferior quality of mattresses and beds with one bed not even having a head rest / I had to rest my head against the wall all throughout the stay (-) Cost effective breakfast with substandard food items which were served as plastic packed but had to be thrown away later due to foul smell (-) Despite her commitment on sending me an email confirming a free one-night stay for any time in the future, I have not received any email despite more than a week has passed by Some Positives (+) The reservations manager, Mr Hamza, heard my complaints and was responsive in escalating the matter to Duty Manager, Ms Fatima (+) Ms Fatima called me next day (right before my check-out) on my cell phone and apologized profusely on the bad quality of service. She seemed surpirsed to hear about my miserable experience at the premises. I even invited her over to my room where me and my family were present to show her around the despicable state of affairs (+) Ms Fatima escalated the matter to the G.M and I was offered a complimentary night which I refused as I had other travel commitments. However, she requested that I give the hotel another opportunity and the complimentary night be availed in the future Defnitely NOT RECOMMENDED for budget, cost savvy or any kind of travellers 2 / 10 P.S. As usual, I expect the management of the hotel to offer "sincere apologies" as a reply to my review and "take appropriate measures" but the experience I had would stay with me forever. My duty is to caution other bookers so they don't face the same misery like I and my family did.
