  Little spot of paradise

  Really loved our stay here, the beds and rooms were super clean and there were cute dogs running around all the time. Kristin was so lovely and made us a great cooked breakfast! Loved the amazing Mexican style architecture, a very cool place to stay for a reasonable price ! Would definitely return.

  Unique place, fantastic service.

  We were doing a fashion shoot nearby + needed a bed for the night for our 9 person crew + a unique motel backdrop to add to the shoot. The El Sierra was just perfect. Rooms + environment are clean, the owners are attentive + truly, nothing was too much trouble. With COVID19 restrictions still in place, the buffet breakfast was set up, but we weren't allowed to access it ourselves - so Kristen took care of each + every one of her guests with a smile + at pace. Remy + Max were running around providing furry companionship when desired, adding to the family run motel mood. For anyone who has seen (and loved) Schitts Creek + fallen in love with the quirky charm of the Rosebud Motel, this had a similar feeling. It's not shiny, polished + soulless - it's personal, set in stunning natural surroundings + has all the amenities you need for a fabulous stop off on a road trip or holiday in the area. It's also only about 20 minutes from the incredible Cactus Country, which is well worth a visit too. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you Kristen + Michael.

  Just lovely

  Spent a night here for a photoshoot and it was all perfect. Room was clean and well made up with all the things I needed for my stay. Kitchen and shower and soft beds. The place was beautiful. Sad I didn't get to try out the pool and spa but the water was crystal clear so I know it would have been perfect. Got to eat fruit fresh off the trees on the property and play with the many dogs. The staff were so accomodating and the cooked breakfast was a lovely time. Ask the staff about the ornaments in the dining room- heart warming tales!

  Hidden Treasure

  Everything was perfect. Awesome hosts. Amazing location. Breakfast in particular was incredible. Can't recommend it enough. Only a 15 minute drive to the famous Cactus Country from it. Make sure you check it out!

  Overpriced

  Clean but, overpriced accomodation as the place is outdated and needs doing up. You can stay somewhere nicer in Barooga for the same price. We booked the golf package advertised in the Inside Golf magazine thinking anything advertised in the magazine would be quality but, were disappointed. The advertisement was actually misleading. We stayed 3 nights but, they actually charge you an extra day even though you dont stay or play golf on the day you check out. Most other accomodation only charge you the nights you stay. We felt ripped off.
