  Best Hotel in Sedona

  We have stayed here twice but this most recent trip was a last minute trip. We got stuck in Sedona when the snow hit and highways closed. The owners were so kind and helpful to my son, my dog and I. The rooms are beautiful. #5 is really great! Such personal thoughtful service. Will definitely be back.

  Highly Recommended, best Sedona Experience yet!

  Wow!This was truly a great experience from start to finish. Steve and Connie are super accommodating to your needs. The hotel itself sits in a perfect location to things walking distance nearby (shops, restaurants etc) and even though we are in a covid challenge, it was still a great experience. The rooms are gorgeous. We got to stay in room 3 which had a great in room jacuzzi (all of the amenities in the room is great (salt bath crystals and loved the shampoo and conditioner etc) and a beautiful fireplace. This room actually had a patio for our furbaby. It was super petfriendly, and they made Maxine feel at home. They went above and beyond to treat you like family there. I could go on and on but I do recommend you stay there and tell Steve and Connie that we say HELLO! :) ENJOY your trip.

  False advertising!!

  I tried to impress my fiance for her 40th birthday and she picked a room at el portal. We were excited to get to our room. When we arrived she instsntly said this is not the room we picked! We told the lady working the desk and she offered another room with a fireplace but no patio. we opted to stay in the original room very let down and puzzled. We did agree to move in the morning to another room that we enjoyed. Upon checking out I showed the owner the false advertisement in the check out on el portal website. it was unfortuante that even talkng with the owner himself , would be shut down and talked to like I was a idiot and told that he was right because he pays some expensive web developer. My advice is when you checkout your reservarion be prepared to not have some of the features the page shows you will. Other downside is that after 9pm or so nobody is working so you are all on your own. iwould not stay there again and you can do better also.

  Awesome as expected

  We loved our honeymoon stay at El Portal. We only wished we had more time there. We stayed in Room 6 the Hill. The fireplace was cozy and bathroom air jet tub made for a great return after a long day of hiking. The only complaint we have is the shower head needs to be upgraded. It offered a low stream. The complimentary snacks and drinks were great to grab on the way out for a hike. Thank you for a memorable stay!

  Ideal for dogs

  Absolutely charming, customized and convenient hotel to stay, especially for our fury friends! They will be at home! Service is discrete but super attentive and friendly to us too. A place you definitely want to go back!
