Lovely B&B, the staff not so muchThe ambiance was great with beautiful and colorful folk art that captured the flavor and history of Santa Fe in every room. The breakfast was delicious. And the location was great. However, the young woman staffing the Inn was snappish and unfriendly. When my friend and I arrived and were trying to figure out how to check in, she walked by us and didn't bother to ask if we needed help. After checking in and having dinner downtown we were freezing, but we were unable to light a fire in our fireplace because the lighter was out of fluid. When I mentioned this to the young woman the next morning (the Inn is not staffed at night), she claimed that she had checked all the lighters before we arrived and that they were full. She also seemed irritated when I asked if tea was available and she chastised me when I pointed out that the "hot" water wasn't hot. She said everyone understands that they must turn the electric tea water heater on themselves. She also scolded my friend for trying to enter the office door from the outside, even though there were no signs saying to use the other door. So, even though I thought the Inn was beautiful, I can't give it a high rating,

Never againOur stay was disappointing. The bed was not a king, but instead was two twin beds on one frame. There was a big ridge down the middle. And both sides were uncomfortable. The heater didnt work. We had it at 78 yet the room was always cold. I started coughing and had severe asthma problems which I believe was due to the heater, which was right over the bed blowing nasty stuff into my face all night. Having been out and about all day I felt much better, but the minute I walked back in the room I started to wheeze and cough. We were offered another room for our final night, which we agreed to. I began packing to move and found my suitcase, contents, and floor were sopping wet due to a leak from the swamp cooler vent. Good thing my electronics werent in there. The new room was better, but I fought my asthma for the rest of the week from whatever was in the first room. I havent had asthma so severe in many years. The common areas used to be friendly and welcoming. They are now inaccessible due to big tables and display cabinets. The food was unremarkable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great for walking to the plaza area. I loved my previous stay here, but I wont be back.

Trying to reach this property to discuss refund of depositI concur with Imcmillan12648. I have been trying to contact the property by email and phone to cancel our reservation way ahead of time. I was wondering if they had gone out of business but seems they are still taking bookings. I will not rebook at this residence as their customer service isn't responsive. Still hoping for a refund.
