  Needs a lot of work done to it

  This hotel is in a very poor state but situated very near a museum we were to visit. This hotel would not have been a choice I would have made, it was done for us. It is situated off the main Avenue down a side lane way. On entering the grounds one notices the lack of any kind of maintenance, the garden is let go, the swimming pools look like they have been empty for a very long time with very high weeds and the surrounding paths could trip one up with pavers missing and big holes. Our room was much the same as the general surrounds. Poorly maintained, looked like the carpet (what was left of it had not become acquainted with a vacuum cleaner ever.) and air-conditioning could not be switched off and set on hot. It was summer and very hot outside. The bathroom surprisingly enough was better than we expected, relatively clean and we had hot water. we had breakfast and dinner here. Some of us got food poisoning from the dinner which was buffet. We did have wifi which was slow. I suppose it was expected as the place was so run down. The only good thing about this place was we could walk to the museum, which was small but excellent.
