  Good Hotel

  We spent two nights at the Hotel EKK. The rooms have modern design and very tall ceilings. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The hotel was absolutely clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The bathroom in the room was huge and had a very spacious shower. We had also dinner at restaurant hotel and we really enjoyed the local foods. I especially recommend the cereal soup. The hotel also has a huge gift shop where you can buy local products. The hotel is located in an isolated zone of the town (few miles away from the city of Pescara), however is very close to the main highway (A14). I strongly recommend this hotel, if you are traveling to Abruzzo.

  Great value, great staff

  Interestingly, though the hotel's name looks like an acronym, Italians pronounce it like a word, so it is "eck." This definitely does not describe the hotel! We spent five nights at EKK in May 2014 and had a wonderful time. The room we had was large and have bold decoration; a spacious bathroom; nice toiletries and good towels. Though the Abruzzo region has many wonderful places to eat, the EKK restaurant is very nice and definitely worth a visit. The breakfast served in the hotel bar is quite good, providing fresh fruit, local cheese, wonderful breads, and freshly made caffe. The staff were always courteous and helpful; most people in the hotel spoke English which was good since my Italian is uneven (and some of my mispronunciations apparently were quite comical in the local dialect). Unfortunately, the hotel is not in the best of locations. It is a remodeled agricultural processing plant, which makes the interior very unusual; but means that it is in an awkward location that is a bit difficult to find. However, it is convenient enough to Pescara, Citta Sant'Angelo, Montesilvano, Silva, and the beaches, so makes a nice place to stay while exploring the area. Definitely give this hotel a chance to prove itself and you won't be disappointed.

  Very Good Value.

  the EKK is a small hotel, 7 km away from the Citta di Angelo where there are nice restaurants and sights worth seeing. It is a good value road side hotel The motorway to Bari and Rome is close by.. The hotel is very nicely decorated, modern and clean. Rooms are large. The staff is helpful as well. The breakfast is fine.

  Nice place to stay out of town

  What's interesting about this hotel is that it feels like it's a repurposed building and it's attached to a beautiful garden store. Both these things are right up our alley! Our first room was HUGE but the bathroom door was broken so we moved next door to a room that was large. The bed was comfy, the bathroom nice, and there was plenty of storage for luggage. (We stayed on the top floor which cost extra at booking). We ate in the restaurant in the hotel and quite frankly I had the best pizza I've had yet in Italy... And I live here! Breakfast the next morning was very good. It was typical European fare and the coffee was delicious. Definitely I'd recommend this hotel if you want a good night's sleep without having to venture into the center of town.

  Small, funky hotel that delivers good value

  Small "funky" hotel in a converted wine making factory that in the manager's own words, "you will love or hate". Hmmm? Well, if you like something a bit different; if you like a good-sized, clean room with good mattress and bedding; if you like ultra fast wifi - and if you like friendly staff - then you will love it. It was a great layover for us from Venice down to Amalfi. Booked last minute - great value and great surprise.
