    Good place for a holiday

We went there in the las week of september with my mum, sister and aunt. When reading all the comments we were scared that it will be really bad. But it wasn't. We had a family room with the view into a pool. There was always plenty of food to choose, even you are picky you still should be able to find something to eat either in the hotel and in the island. The pool area and the restaurant was always clean, and staff is always walking around and cleaning everything. The only minus was the amount of people as there was a lot of them, but the hotel is really big, so you should expect that. And all the staff members we met were super nice and friendly even though not all of them were speaking in english. The bus to the island is going every 20min. To go to Alanya you can take taxi or go by bus. Many buses go often from the bus stop next to island, it cost around 1-2 per person.

If you like being taken for every penny you have then stay here

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks between 10/9 & 25/9 we booked a double room as myself and wife were travelling with our 18 year old son and 9 year old so wanted the extra privacy. After a lovely sweaty 2 hour coach transfer complete with a stop at the driver prefered over priced shop/café/kebab house we arrived at the hotel. I was immediately offered an upgrade at the very reasonable rate of 280 ( cough cough ) I politely declined. We were taken to our room which infact was a twin with a fold out bed for my 9 year old son. At this point we'd been travelling for 15 hours so just wanted to sleep so I couldn't be bothered with bringing it up with the night mananger. Anyway onto the hotel: The 2 biggest slides ( Boomerang and plug hole) only open for 2 hours in the morning between 10 and 12 while the rest reopen in the afternoon from 2 till 5. The pool area is a death trap along with the toilets around the pool many of the tiles are broken and the area is constantly slippery. The shops within the the hotel are extremely expensive for everything. The supermarket that is a 2 min walk away is far cheaper and has a much wider selection. ( turn left out of the front of the hotel walk to the end of the road then turn right and you will see it about 50m away on your left side). Under no circumstances change money at the hotel reception as the rate they give is atleat 50p to 50cents lower than anywhere else. This is the the only all inclusive ive been to been to that isnt infact all inclusive lol theyll back convert at a higher rate thereby doubling the profit. Eg i change £10 to lira at reception at a rate of 6.3 lira to £ = 63 lira Now i buy a cocktal that is 5 or £5 or 35 lira ( all priced that way at the bar) thats 7 lira to the GBP. Which is it ? If your converting at 6.3 then use 6.5 at the bar if maths isn't your strong point. Or maybe maths is your strong point and your banking on holiday makers being either too drunk, rich or just not care to notice that your infact tinkling on our heads and trying to pass it off as rain. As you can see it starts to add up. I brought this up with the night manger and his words to me were " What can you buy with 2 lira maybe a kilo of tomatos" I tried speaking to the guest relations manager who while she was very nice said she would pass it to senior management, she and i both knew nothing would change or be done. Now lets get onto the management well on day 12 of our holiday Thomas Cook went bust and our Hotel manger went into a frenzy and called all of the TC guests into his office and tried to decide whether or not to kick us out on the street all while attempting to extort 800 from each room. He was acting against the advise given to him by the CAA, ATOL and His own Government. He was told by the owner of the efitalia chain that we must all pay so that persons word must supersede any law of turkey or Internationally. The mangers actions were so outrageous that if you were to use a very well know search engine and type in the hotels name along with " The Sun newspaper " you can watch a video of him actually doing the said extortion for yourself. The manger took such offense at being recorded by another guest and being caught out that he went as far as to call the police the next day and have another lady (who had only given a statement to the newspaper) arrested in the hotel lobby infront of her screaming children and other guests. In my opinion this entire episode seemed to have been done merely as a show of force on the hotels part. Other than that the hotel is of an average standard and doesnt offer good value for money, the food is catered to a European palet and can be repetative, breakfast is challenging for brits as the cereals are nothing like home, the fried eggs are like snot so avoid, so pretty much ommlettes and toast. Oh yeah the oj is 2 a glass LMAO. The Hotel Shops FAKE AHOY yep you guessed no matter who your tour operator is they're allowing you to visit a hotel that is selling some lovely counterfeit fasion, jewellery, Toys and Electronics. While you may even be looking for a pair of snide trainers good for you( they can be found much cheaper outside the hotel) I'm sure you don't want to purchase any counterfeit elecronics that MAY be unsafe so beware the shop on the lower floor sells electronics and toys. The pools are lovely and warm but they need to be regularly swepts/mopped which they are not, this means they are not just slippery but near on deadly. On day 2 I sliced my toe open on a broken tile near the exit of the "plug hole" because i slipped in a puddle. I informed my rep who also informed reception and guest relations. Day 14 nothing done as is shown on my picture. The alchole is well intresting, the all inclusive in the hotel is Gin, vodka, whiskey and wine oops nearly forgot the beer Efes oh my 1st things 1st you cant get a pint, 2nd you cant get 1/2 pint. What you can get is a plastic tumbler that is a mouthful, you can drink it all day and night it'll do nothing at all. The spirits taste like they came from a hick still and are only tolerable with mixers and the free fanta or sprite. The beloved Island Yes its got the best slides and best food. But and this is a big but, its fed by 4 hotels so it's busy, the pools are hard to get a lounger at as unless you get there really early all the good spot are gone, the other hotels are closer and wothin walking distance so they pop over chuck a towel down and pop back and have breakfast while we had to take a free bus ride (granted only 5 mins) then walk 5 mins to the pool areas then spend 35 mins looking for somewhere to sit. Come lunch time on the island there is fried chicken, donar kebab, fresh pizza and pretty much all the other usual stuff but the ques. 25 mins thats no exaggeration in 30°+ heat no shade because 2 people are serving and the ques the same at every food place there except the paid for outlets. Also on the island no spirits just beer and soft drinks but in my opinion that beer is a soft drink (im not normally a drinker by the way) Value for Money We spent £3500 and this is probably the worst value for money holiday I've ever been on, not only did the hotel fail right from the off and try to up sell me to the room I'd already booked. This hotel cuts every corner possible while the staff are nice that doesn't make up for what is actually nothing more than a cash grab, there are far better waterpark hotels out there in this price range that wont try to milk you for every penny you have. The staff are woefully underpaid and do an amazing job, the rooms are ok but there are only 2 English speak TV channels out of over 20 and both of those are rolling news. The hotel management really couldn't give 2 stuffs unless theyre getting paid for it and we are just the rich people to give them money. I have never been so glad to leave a hotel because of the actions of the manger. If TC hadnt have gone under this would still have been a critical review. NOTE: Management have made a concerted effort to suppress my review this review has been taken down once already. Search this hotel on social media

had a ball, especially with the jonses

room was ok, food was ok, didnt starve nd the hotel was clean and tidy. was there during the thomas cook fiasco. some of the behaviour of my fellow english compatriots was bordering on unbelievable. i and my wife found the manager of this place to be extremely helpful and it was a little embarrasing to see some of this. there was a bit of uncertainty when everything was unclear but it was sorted out very quickly. my wife spoke to the manager afterwards and he went above and beyond to help ease our panick and uncertainty with what was happening with arrangements. i cant thank him enough. the staff were absolutely lovely and this made this holiday one i will never forget. we said we would come back but we couldnt get a place for 6 during our available dates for this august and booked aqua instead. if your manager is reading this, would love to pop up and say hello again and say hi to the staff. we also met the nicest family there, been to meet them since.. thank you splash, above and beyond xxx

would highly recommend! had a fantastic time

I came here with my boyfriend and his family in August (2019) and we were there for 10 days. The service was excellent from the second we got there to the day we left. We arrived at the resort at 4:25 in the morning and we were offered a drink and were checked in within a couple of minutes. our room was lovely, it was a standard room, a double bed and two singles which is what we needed, fresh towels, a T.V, hairdryer and aircon (which was definitely needed in that heat) there was also a wardrobe so we weren't living out of the suitcase. The location was nice and quiet, and it was only a 2 minute walk to the mall and a little bar where you could watch the football, you could get to the beach in 2 different directions and both ways it was still only a 5 minute walk and it also had waterslides and was a private beach for those who were all inclusive. There were so many things there to enjoy I cant choose which was my favourite part but its probably the variety of different things that you can do. The on;y issue we had was the fridge in the bedroom, it was always warm and whenever we had fresh water put into our bedroom and put the water in the fridge over night it was still warm but it wasn't worth asking about as we were hardly in the bedroom.
