Nice appearance but not very goodI booked a room 6 months in advance. The process was smooth. I was able to choose a specific room since I booked so far in advance. Prior to the date I received an email asking if we would consider relocating to another room. I agreed, assuming it was equivalent. It was not, not even close. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was good but nothing particularly special. Ive stayed at nice B&Bs in Maine but this is not up to those standards. You can hear everything that goes on in an adjacent room. More than you want to hear. The setting is great but its not nice enough to overcome the other shortcomings.

Lovely and peacefulWe stayed there one night, and it was delightful. It is reminiscent of time gone by. The owner greeted us and gave us a tour and moved the breakfast time to accommodate our needs. Breakfast included our choice of eggs, fruit, sausage and grits. Wine and snacks were available upon arrival. The owner suggested a good place to eat dinner and was helpful with directions. The decor was cozy and appropriate for the age of the home. My teenager was a bit thrown at no TV, but we streamed a show on our computer so all was well with the world. I want to go back and stay longer than one night!

Not great, but okWe were disappointed by the condition of the Garden/Family Suite, which was comprised of second-hand furniture in poor condition and one bed so ridiculously high off the ground that you had to crawl/hoist yourself up and onto it with a concerted effort (and we r of average height). Being the more comfortable bed of the two in the suite, hoist and crawl we did. Fortunately the bed was comfortable and the suite was clean, but the furniture was worn and stained. There was a tv stand with no TV but a cable sticking out of the wall where the TV had been, although they said they could probably try to find one if needed. The setting, in the Assembly campus in the woods, was very pretty and the common areas seemed a little nicer and cheerier than our room. Other rooms may be in better condition than where we stayed, based on the varying levels of satisfaction by different reviewers. The staff was friendly and the breakfasts were quite good. For what we paid, I expected a much, much nicer suite; the photos of the suite on the website are not representative of its actual condition.

Extremely disappointedWe had planned a trip to The Caverns in Pelham, TN and thought a place like Edgeworth Inn would be nice. It was my birthday weekend and a great gift from my hubby. This place is overpriced for being so runned done. The owner is aloof and no interaction with guests. Her help is super nice. The bathrooms are the original and just not what I expected. Bed furnishings are old and so are the rugs. There was no bottled water or snacks for later in the day. Ive been to several B&Bs that are beautifully appointed and super clean. It ruined it for us. We are back to the hotel.

Nice experienceWe stayed here when going to a show at the new fabulous venue The Caverns. Its a lovely old inn located in a beautiful enclave of very old, magnificent homes. They also provided a made to order breakfast. We will stay there again.
