  Good location but apartment only average

  The website adverts with luxurious apartments, this is definitely not the case for the apartment we had. The rooms need an update, the carpets in the bedrooms have lots of stains, the madrasses are stained, with only sheets to cover it. This is not luxurious at all. There is no wifi, you only have access i the lobby, sitting on the floor, so you better prepare for that. One should know that this is not for holiday stays only, the guys above us got up early every morning in the middle of the week and it will definitely end your sleep. There is no isolation, you can hear everything. Its more a place for longterm rent than holidays, unless you are an early bird. The location was fine, close to the Esplanade, close to airport to catch an early plane. Convenient with free parking and close to attractions with the car. The kids enjoyed the swimmingpool, it was not really big, but not very busy so that worked well. The manager Greg i friendly and has great tips, what to do.

  Great location, filthy and not correct

  Firstly the apartment was filthy. The balcony hadnt been cleaned. The kitchen was filthy we didnt want to use it, the bathrooms had mound on ceilings and floors were dirty. The laundry had a rank filthy mop that smelt horrible. The shower in the ensuite leaked terribly at the shower head connections. It sprayed water over the shower screen and onto the toilet and floor. So only one usable shower. They advertise free wifi however that is not correct as its only near the office on the ground floor not in your apartment.

  Apartment

  Fantastic Penthouse Apartment 3 bedroom with all the necessaties. Excellent balcony views and very clean. Great decor, air con, etc. Secure, pools, well maintained gardens. Can see airport runway which is very interesting watching the planes take off. Large area for entertaining and relaxing The Manager Jeff was very friendly and helpful allowing early access. Stayed 2 nights before going to Port. Excellent for a small group of friends.

  Great space and very comfortable

  Had a 2 bed apartment. Lots of space. 2 showers. Good kitchen. Looks a bit austere from outside but very comfortable. V convenient for airport. Took 5 mins to get there. At north end is esplanade so good access from north but not a lot of eating places nearby. There are several however within an easy walk. Secure and free parking.

  Noisy and just a terrible experience

  Let's get the good bit our of the way, the units are of good size and the communal pool was nice and clean. None of this makes up for the rest of time being here. Noise, excessive noise. The apt is next door to Summerhouse backpackers and bar and you can hear music on weekends from midday to almost midnight not to mention the patrons partying and talking. This can be heard with all windows and doors shut, only respite is TV tuned up loud enough to block out the noise. Once the balcony doors are open it's excessive. Also walls and floors are so thin you can hear TVs and footsteps from other units. It's enough to drive you insane especially if you want to relax. Also parties from other units can be excessive and go on to the early hours of the morning. No point contacting Greg the manager, he does nothing to help or he just ignores calls/texts - one response he told us to sort it out ourselves or call the police. Location is not great either it's 30min walk to Cairns city and nothing much around the apartment, so it's car or taxi to get to the restaurants. Overall a terrible experience, not relaxing and not enjoyable. I think I should have just stayed at the backpackers next door as it felt like I was there anyway and would have saved a heap of money.
